JUMO digiLine Ci HT10 Head Transmitter with Inductive Conductivity Sensor, Type 202761
Description
An inductive conductivity sensor with the electronics built into the head
The JUMO digiLine Ci HT10 (type 202761) joins an inductive conductivity sensor and its transmitter electronics in one head-mounted module that is installed completely at the measuring point in a suitable fitting. Four interface families are available: an RS485 interface for the JUMO digiLine protocol or Modbus RTU, IO-Link, two 4 to 20 mA analog outputs, or two PhotoMOS solid-state relay outputs. Versions with RS485 give plug-and-play operation on the JUMO AQUIS touch S/P or Modbus operation on a JUMO mTRON T or variTRON. Connection is by pre-assembled M12 cables, and calibration data is stored in the electronics, so the sensor can be calibrated in the laboratory before it is mounted.

Built-in monitoring and calibration functions
The electronics add monitoring that a plain sensor lacks. A calibration logbook stores the last ten calibrations with date, time and values, a calibration timer reminds the operator when the interval has run out, and counters record CIP and SIP cleaning cycles so that sensor wear can be assessed. Two limit-value functions are available on IO-Link and relay versions, including limit alarms to USP 645 or the European Pharmacopoeia for purified water, and a sensor-stress alarm is calculated from the measurement data. Customer linearisation tables of up to 30 value pairs per range convert conductivity into a concentration on versions with a display. The relay version also carries an alarm buzzer.
Setup uses the AQUIS touch S/P, the local keys on display versions, or the JUMO DSM software over a Micro-B USB port. The datasheet warns that heat from the plant can exceed the permitted ambient temperature of a head transmitter, in which case a version with a separate sensor should be chosen.
Choosing the version and accessories
Pick the interface first: RS485 for digiLine or Modbus networks, IO-Link for modern automation systems, analog for a 4 to 20 mA input, or relays for limit switching. Then choose plastic or steel housing, display, sensor type and process connection. The datasheet ties its UL and DNV references to specific combinations, for example plastic housing with sensor type 30 and union nut 168 or 169, so check the approval table when a mark is required. Accessories include M12 digiLine master cables of 1.5, 5 and 10 m (00638333, 00638337, 00638341), the digiLine hub 00646871, its power supply 00661597, the terminating connector 00461591, the DSM software 00655787 and 8-pole M12 connectors (00444307, 00444312 shielded 00486503).
Related published items include the AQUIS 500 CR and the AQUIS touch P multichannel analysis controller, and the liquid analysis sensors category lists further sensors. State the conductive medium, concentration and temperature range, CIP or SIP exposure, fitting type and interface when you enquire.

Choosing a temperature sensor starts with the range and accuracy. A Pt100 RTD is accurate and stable from about -200 to 600 °C and is the usual choice in process plants. A thermocouple (type K or J, for example) covers much higher temperatures and responds faster but is less accurate. The wiring also matters: a 3-wire or 4-wire Pt100 connection cancels the resistance of the cable, while a 2-wire connection adds an error that grows with cable length. That is why a head-mounted transmitter is often fitted close to the sensor.
Where JUMO products are used
In Oman and the GCC, JUMO sensors and controllers are used in oil and gas and chemical plants, food and beverage production, plastics and metal heat treatment, HVAC and district cooling, water and wastewater treatment, swimming pools and marine applications.
Ordering JUMO products: what we need
Send the JUMO type number and the full order code from the label (for example 902020/10-...). For probes, add the sensor type (Pt100, Pt1000, type K or J), the number of wires, the insertion length and diameter, and the process connection. For controllers, add the input, outputs and supply voltage.
