About Valve Gearboxes

Types of valve gearbox in this category
Part-turn worm gearboxes such as the AUMA GS 63.3, GS 100.3, GS 160.3, GS 250.3, GS 400 and GS 630.3 operate ball and butterfly valves from about 1,000 Nm up to 675,000 Nm, and the GHE series serves manual part-turn duty. Multi-turn gearboxes include the GK bevel range (GK 10.2 to GK 40.2), GST spur gearboxes, GP planetary gearboxes and heavy-duty GHT worm gearboxes for large gate valves and sluice gates.
How to select a valve gearbox
Define the valve torque, number of turns or 90-degree operation, input from a handwheel or actuator and the required operating time. Choose the gearbox type by valve and layout: worm gearboxes for part-turn valves, bevel or spur for multi-turn valves where the input must be offset or angled. Check the output flange and coupling against the valve top works.
