01How do I find the right Hach catalog number for a reagent?
The number is printed on the pack and in the method sheet of your instrument, for example 21055-69 for DPD free chlorine powder pillows. The suffix after the dash identifies the pack size. Send the number, or the instrument model, parameter, sample volume and range, and we will confirm the matching reagent set from the manufacturer's method documentation.
02Which sensors work with the Hach SC4500 controller?
The SC4500 accepts Hach digital sc sensors and, through analog modules, selected analog pH, conductivity and other sensors. Compatibility depends on the sensor family and the modules fitted in the controller. Send the sensor model and the controller part number so the combination can be verified in the Hach compatibility information before ordering.
03Does Hach provide certificates of analysis for reagents and standards?
Yes. Hach publishes safety data sheets and, for many reagents and standard solutions, a certificate of analysis linked to the lot number printed on the pack. If your quality system needs these documents, mention it in the inquiry and we will request them from the manufacturer's documentation for the supplied lot.
04What is the difference between the Hach TU5300sc and TU5400sc turbidimeters?
Both are online laser turbidimeters from the TU5 family and share the same measuring range. The TU5400sc is the higher precision version, with tighter repeatability, intended for very low turbidity such as filter effluent monitoring. Options include a flow sensor, an automatic cleaning module and EPA or ISO versions, so send the full order code required.
