The JUMO DELOS S02 (type 405056) is a pressure transmitter with display that measures absolute or relative pressure of liquid, vapour and gaseous media. A rotating housing top with alignable text carries an LCD with a 4-digit process value and a 7-character text line, with device status shown to NAMUR NE 107. Set-up is through the JUMO smartCONNECT app.

Two versions exist: IO-Link, with configurable analog outputs, and Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) with connection to the JUMO Cloud. The data sheet names CIP and SIP plants, the food and pharmaceutical industry, air conditioning and refrigeration, and plant engineering. Front-flush connections with EHEDG certification are available, and EHEDG conformity applies only with approved process connections.

Range and connection choice

Pick the range so that the working pressure sits in the upper two thirds of the span, and check the overload and burst values in the table: for example the 0 to 25 bar range has 120 bar overload and 200 bar burst. Front-flush connections such as G3/4 or clamp are rated 25 or 40 bar depending on the type and temperature.

The stainless steel housing and the EHEDG-certified process connections suit hygienic plants, while the plastic housing is the economical choice for utilities.

Before ordering

State the version (IO-Link or SPE), range, housing, connection and seal material. The IO-Link version draws up to 100 mA in IO-Link mode and up to 600 mA with the switching output, so check the master channel limit.

The device is UL approved for indoor use only. Confirm EHEDG, H2 ready and radio approvals against the project specification and the exact extra codes.

A derived reminder: measuring spans below 1 bar are more sensitive to mounting position and zero offset, so specify the orientation. Keep a record of the ordered extra codes, because the H2 ready option and the medium temperature class are set at the factory and cannot be added later in the field.
