Brand:

Honeywell EC 350 PTZ Gas Volume Corrector

Description

PTZ volume corrector for gas custody transfer and industrial metering

The Honeywell EC 350 is an electronic PTZ gas volume corrector that converts gas volume from operating conditions to reference pressure and temperature. It is built as an UMB, rotary-mount or wall-mount device for custody transfer and industrial measurement, and it is the first member of a new Honeywell family of electronic volume correctors and dataloggers.

Note on brand: the EC 350 brochure is a Honeywell Process Solutions (Mercury Instruments) document and does not carry the Elster name, so the product is listed under Honeywell. The design reuses the field-proven UMB pulse-input subsystem and latching enclosure of the Mini-Max and Mini-AT corrector lines.

Features for remote and low-maintenance sites

The EC 350 combines a multi-line dynamic-contrast LCD with a simple menu structure and a configurable audit trail that can be mapped to several logs. The IrDA port runs at the same time as a serial port, so a technician can download the audit trail or item file locally while a remote system keeps polling. The firmware can be upgraded remotely, which reduces site visits, and the corrector reads the uncorrected meter data redundantly. Honeywell also states compatibility with Itron, Sensus and Aclara AMR devices through the serial interface and pulse output.

Selecting and installing the corrector

Choose the mounting style from the meter: UMB for diaphragm meters, rotary mount for rotary meters, or wall mount for a separate station. Select the power source according to the site, because lithium packs give the 10-year figure while alkaline packs are quoted at 5 to 7 years. If a cellular modem is wanted, say so in the enquiry because the corrector can be delivered pre-configured with the cellular radio provisioned for Honeywell Total Data Services or other collection software. Other family members listed in the brochure, the TC 350, TM 350 and ER 350, were marked not yet available in this edition.

Documents and quotation

State the meter type and mounting, gas composition and compressibility method, pressure range, hazardous-area class, power option, communication path and the approval your project needs. The brochure is dated April 2024.

The attached Honeywell brochure for the EC 350 gives the features and technical specifications. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, quotes against the configuration above. About brand

Fixed gas and flame detection takes up the largest share of our Honeywell listing: Searchline Excel open path detectors, Sensepoint XCD and XRL point detectors, the XNX transmitter and the FS24X Plus flame detector. Honeywell, which dates from 1906 and is headquartered in Charlotte, USA, also makes SmartLine pressure transmitters and VersaFlow flowmeters for process plants.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier of Honeywell gas detectors, replacement sensors, transmitters and controller parts for sites in Oman and the GCC.

Honeywell product families on this page

Open path infrared detection is represented by the Searchline Excel and the newer Searchline Excel Plus. Point detection includes the Sensepoint XCD in flammable and toxic versions, for example the SPXCDALMG1 hydrogen detector, the Sensepoint XRL and the XNX universal transmitter. The FS24X Plus is a triple infrared flame detector. Replacement cells such as the SR-X2V oxygen sensor and the SR-W-MP75C MICROpeL combustible sensor are also listed. Process instruments include SmartLine STG700 and STG800 gauge pressure transmitters, the STR82D remote seal transmitter and the VersaFlow Coriolis mass flow meter. Recorder consumables such as chart pens are also sourced.

Where Honeywell detectors and transmitters are used

Gas and flame detectors guard wellheads, compressor stations, tank farms, loading bays, process units and utility buildings, and report to the fire and gas system. Open path units watch plant boundaries and long pipe racks. SmartLine transmitters and VersaFlow meters measure pressure and flow in refining, gas processing, chemicals and power.

Ordering Honeywell gas detection parts: what we need

Send the full part number from the label, such as SPXCDALMG1 or 02104-N-XSSA, and the serial number. For gas detectors state the target gas and measuring span, housing material, cable entry thread, output (4-20 mA, relays, Modbus) and the approval required. For replacement sensors name the detector model they go into. For SmartLine transmitters send the complete model selection string.
