The measurement and control group includes the ROC809 and the expandable ROC827 Remote Operations Controllers, the ROC800L for liquid measurement and the FloBoss 107 Flow Manager. Flow metering is represented by Micro Motion ELITE CMF Coriolis sensors and the 5700 transmitter. For valves there is the DVC6200 digital valve controller, plus solenoid valves and a safety relief valve. DeltaV hardware includes the PK Controller and DeltaV SIS components. Field tools are the AMS Trex Device Communicator and the earlier 475 Field Communicator, and wireless networks use the 1410S gateway with the 781S smart antenna. Tell us which protocols you work with, if the tool must power the loop and which area classification applies.
What should I specify for a ROC800 or FloBoss unit?
State the base model (ROC809, ROC827, ROC800L or FloBoss 107), the I/O modules and communication modules required in each slot, the supply voltage and the measurement application, since liquid measurement uses the ROC800L. For a replacement, the firmware version and the configuration file of the present unit should be saved, because the new unit has to be loaded with them.
Can a Micro Motion transmitter be replaced without replacing the sensor?
In many cases yes, provided the new transmitter is compatible with the sensor and its core processor. The flow and density calibration factors printed on the sensor tag must be entered in the new transmitter. Send the model strings and serial numbers of both the sensor and the transmitter so compatibility and the correct transmitter options can be checked.
How do I read a Copeland compressor model number?
The model number on the nameplate, for example ZR250KCE-TED-522, starts with the compressor family and capacity. The letters after the first hyphen identify the motor and voltage version and the last digits the bill of material variant, which covers connections and fittings. Send the full number with the refrigerant used, because the oil type and application envelope depend on it.
