ABB TTH300-Y0 Head-Mounted Temperature Transmitter
Description
Head-mounted temperature measurement for a Fieldbus segment
The ABB TTH300-Y0 is a two-channel head-mounted temperature transmitter in the non-Ex (Y0) execution; the data on this page applies to its FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 version. It fits applications that require the sensor measurement to enter a compatible digital process-control network. The communication version is a key purchasing detail: the protocol letter in the full order code (HART, PROFIBUS PA or FOUNDATION Fieldbus) must be matched to the host system; Y0 itself only denotes the non-Ex execution.
Its two sensor channels allow measurement arrangements involving resistance thermometers, thermocouples, resistance or voltage inputs within the configurations supported by the manual. The sensor type and wiring determine the setup. A transmitter alone does not establish the measuring range or accuracy of the complete sensor assembly.

Sensor setup and replacement selection
Match the sensor element, number of wires, desired range and host-system communication before specifying a replacement. Where two sensors are used, the configured measurement or diagnostic function should be checked against the existing instrument setup. Device software and the host configuration also matter when integrating a replacement into an established Fieldbus segment.
Hazardous-area approvals and the permitted supply limits for an Ex installation depend on the complete ordered execution and its marking. They should be selected from the relevant documentation for that execution. Display and other options belong in the requested equipment specification.
Documentation and quotation
The attached ABB operating instruction explains the sensor connections and the FOUNDATION Fieldbus electrical requirements. See our Temperature Instrumentation for related measurement equipment.
For a quotation, send the TTH300-Y0 code, quantity, sensor type and wire arrangement, measuring range and host-system details. Include the existing nameplate and any required display or hazardous-area execution so the requested assembly can be identified.

About brand
ABB, formed in 1988 and headquartered in Zurich, covers an unusually long stretch of a plant's equipment list, from the flowmeter and analyzer in the field to the drive, breaker and protection relay in the electrical room.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier serving Oman and the GCC. Our ABB listing concentrates on measurement and analytics: ABB flowmeters, liquid analysis sensors and systems, level and pressure instruments. It also includes valve actuators, low voltage circuit breakers, ABB drives, soft starters and protection relays.
ABB product families on this page
Flow measurement includes ABB electromagnetic, Coriolis, vortex and swirl meters, sold under names such as ProcessMaster, AquaMaster, CoriolisMaster and SwirlMaster. Liquid analysis covers pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen sensors with their transmitters. SensyTemp TSP sensors handle temperature. On the electrical side the listing has ACS355 machinery drives, the ACS550 general purpose drive, the ACQ580 for water and wastewater and the ACS880-01 industrial drive, with fieldbus adapters such as the FPBA-01 for PROFIBUS DP. Protection and switching products include SACE Tmax XT molded case breakers, SACE Emax 2 air circuit breakers, PSR soft starters and the REM615 and RET615 relays.
Where ABB instruments and drives are used
Water and wastewater plants use the electromagnetic flowmeters, analyzers and ACQ580 drives together. Oil and gas, power and chemical plants specify the Coriolis and vortex meters, pressure and level transmitters and the 615 series relays for motor and transformer feeders. The drives run pumps, fans, conveyors and compressors in almost every industry.
Ordering ABB parts: what we need
For drives send the full type code from the rating label, for example ACS355-03E-05A6-4, plus the serial number if it is a replacement. For instruments send the complete order code, measuring span, process connection, wetted materials, output or protocol and the hazardous area approval. For breakers give frame size, rated current, breaking capacity, number of poles, trip unit and fixed or withdrawable version.

Frequently Asked Questions
Y0 denotes the execution without explosion protection. The TTH300 is available with HART, PROFIBUS PA or FOUNDATION Fieldbus; the protocol is a separate position in the full order code and must be confirmed from the nameplate.
The operating instruction gives 9–32 V DC at the terminals for non-Ex PROFIBUS/FOUNDATION Fieldbus applications. Ex executions have separate limits.
The TTH300 supports two sensor channels. Permitted combinations and wiring depend on the selected sensor types and the configuration described in the operating instruction.
A display is an execution-dependent option. Include the required display arrangement in the quotation request rather than assuming it is supplied.
Provide the complete model and nameplate, sensor type and wiring, measuring range, host Fieldbus system, quantity and required options.
