Operating Principle
The MT5000’s guided wave radar technology sends a microwave pulse down a probe into the process vessel; the pulse reflects off the surface of the liquid, slurry, or interface being measured, and the transmitter calculates level from the time domain reflectometry (TDR) analysis of the returning signal. This guided approach concentrates the microwave energy along the probe rather than broadcasting it freely, giving stable readings even with foam, vapor, or turbulence that would confuse a non-contact radar sensor.
