CSV 6: a compact 12 mm solenoid valve body for small refrigeration systems
Danfoss 032B2004 is a CSV 6 solenoid valve body, normally closed, with 12 mm ODF solder connections. The CSV is a compact valve with a 5.6 mm orifice, a Kv value of 0.54 m3/h and a net weight of only 0.08 kg. It is supplied without a coil and has a smaller 9 mm actuator system than the EVR.

The compact solenoid for small circuits
This CSV is for commercial refrigeration, beverage cooling, small chillers and heat-pump circuits where space is tight. Its refrigerant list includes R1234ze(E), R134a, R22/R407C, R290, R404A/R507A, R452A, R513A, R600 and R600a, so it can be used with several hydrocarbon charges as well as HFCs; always check the flammable-refrigerant requirements of the system.

Ordering notes
Choose the coil (voltage, 7 W class) separately and check that it fits the 9 mm actuator. Install with the coil above the body, brazing with the body cooled, and fit a filter-drier ahead. Hydrocarbon systems may require special coils and cabling; confirm that with the equipment manufacturer.

Choosing Danfoss products
For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit. For drives, the VLT family is split by application: FC 51 Micro Drive for small machines, FC 102 HVAC Drive for fans and pumps in buildings, FC 202 AQUA Drive for water, and FC 302 AutomationDrive for demanding industrial duty.
