How do I identify a DUNGS valve from its nameplate?
The nameplate shows the type designation, such as DMV-D 507/11 or MB-DLE 407 B01, together with an article number, the voltage and frequency, protection class, maximum operating pressure and the approval mark. In the DMV and MultiBloc designations the digits indicate the nominal size. The article number identifies the exact version, so always include it.
What does the VPS 504 valve proving system do?
The VPS 504 checks the two safety shut-off valves for leakage before the burner starts. An internal motor pump raises the pressure in the space between the valves by about 20 mbar above the inlet pressure, and a differential pressure switch monitors whether it holds. If it does, the burner control receives a release signal. Versions differ in voltage and in their electrical connection to the burner control.
How do I choose the right spring for a DUNGS FRS regulator?
The FRS outlet pressure range is set by the spring fitted, and DUNGS identifies the springs by number and color, each covering a defined outlet pressure band, for example 5 to 20 mbar or 25 to 55 mbar. If the required outlet pressure is outside the band of the installed spring, the spring is changed, not the regulator. Send the regulator size, the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure you need.
Which approvals does DUNGS issue for its gas valves and pressure switches?
DUNGS safety shut-off valves are built to EN 161, the European standard for automatic shut-off valves on gas burners, and the nameplate shows the valve class and the approval mark.
