Two items show the two halves of a pneumatic circuit. The VTUG is a valve terminal: a manifold that carries a row of directional valves with common air supply and a shared electrical connection. The DSBC-32-100-PPVA-N3 is an ISO standard cylinder. Its type code reads as 32 mm piston diameter and 100 mm stroke, with adjustable end-position cushioning and a piston magnet for position sensing.

Ordering Festo parts: what we need

Festo parts carry both a type code and a numeric part number on the label. Send both when you can; the part number is the shortest route to an exact match. For a cylinder give the full type code as on the listed DSBC example, plus mounting parts and proximity switches if required. For a VTUG valve terminal send the configuration code or a label photo: number of valve positions, valve functions, coil voltage and the electrical connection type all vary from one terminal to the next.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I read a Festo cylinder code such as DSBC-32-100-PPVA-N3?
DSBC is the series, an ISO standard profile cylinder. The first number is the piston diameter in millimeters and the second is the stroke. PPV stands for cushioning adjustable at both ends, and A means the piston carries a magnet for proximity switches. The final N3 marks conformity with ISO 15552.
Where is the Festo part number?
On the product label, next to the type code, usually as a number of five to seven digits. It identifies one exact variant. If the label is worn, send whatever is readable together with a photo and the main dimensions, and we will trace the item in the manufacturer's catalog.
Can I order a single valve for a VTUG valve terminal?
Yes, individual valves and blanking plates for a terminal are separate items with their own part numbers. Send the label of the valve to be replaced, or the configuration code of the whole terminal and the position of the valve. Coil voltage and valve function must match the rest of the terminal.
Is Seven Star LLC a distributor of Festo?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier, not a Festo distributor or partner. We source Festo products through commercial channels, check the type code and part number against the manufacturer's catalog, and provide the manufacturer's datasheet with the order on request.
