EV220B 15: the 1/2 in brass servo valve for small water and brine lines
Danfoss 032U7115 is the smallest-bore EV220B body in this lane: a normally closed, 2/2-way valve with a 15 mm orifice, G 1/2 internal threads and a Kv of 4 m3/h. The servo diaphragm design uses line pressure to hold the valve open or shut, so the coil only has to lift a small pilot, and that is why the unit handles pressures up to 16 bar with an actuator of only 13.5 mm.

Flow, response and minimum pressure
Kv 4 m3/h is about 4.6 gal/min in Cv terms, enough for a coffee machine, a small chiller make-up line, spray rinse or a condensate drain. Because the valve is servo-assisted, it needs at least 0.3 bar of differential pressure to open; at lower pressure differences use a direct-acting valve like the EV210B.
Danfoss estimates 40 ms for opening and 350 ms for closing on water. The slower closing action reduces water hammer, but the figure is an estimate that depends on the installation, so do not use it as a safety timing.
Coil, installation and ordering
The valve is supplied without a coil. A Danfoss clip-on coil of the correct voltage and enclosure must be ordered separately, and the coil type determines the allowed ambient temperature, which is limited to 80 C for the valve. Fit a strainer upstream, because particles lodge in the pilot orifice, and install with the arrow on the body in the direction of flow.
