Brand:

Miller Multimatic 255 Multiprocess Welder with Pulsed MIG

Description

One 250 A inverter for MIG, pulsed MIG, stick and DC TIG

The Miller Multimatic 255 (catalog number 907728) is Miller’s top multiprocess welder in the Multimatic family: a 250 A class inverter with MIG, pulsed MIG, flux-cored, DC stick and DC Lift-Arc TIG, including pulsed TIG. Miller builds it for contract welding services, plant maintenance shops and general fabricators who want one machine that is easy to set up and light enough to move. The machine alone weighs 38 kg, which Miller states is more than 50 percent less than the Millermatic 252, and the Auto-Line input accepts any single-phase supply from 208 to 575 V without manual linking.

Operation and set-up features

A 7-inch color LCD shows connection diagrams and parameter screens, and soft keys change function with the screen. Auto-Set offers predefined settings for MIG, pulsed MIG, stick and DC TIG once the operator picks wire and gas type, wire diameter and material thickness; the settings can be fine-tuned. Up to four programs can be saved for each process, a USB port handles software updates, and locks and limits keep parameters within the welding procedure.

The package includes a 4.6 m MDX-250 MIG gun with Bernard AccuLock consumables, work and electrode cables with 50 mm Dinse-style connectors, a flow gauge regulator and hose, and drive rolls for 0.9 and 1.2 mm wire. Auto-Gun Detect adjusts settings when switching between standard, push-pull and spool guns, and push-pull guns allow 12-inch wire spools for aluminium. Miller rates pulsed MIG as best for thin metals, low heat input and aluminium, while spray transfer suits thick metals.

Choosing within the Multimatic family

Documents and quotation

The attached Miller spec sheet (index DC/12.9, issued February 2026) lists the specification table, duty cycle charts, packages and accessories. Welding wire, shielding gas, spool gun or push-pull gun and personal protection are not included. For a quotation, state the package number, supply voltage, wire material and the accessories required.

About brand
Blue welding machines from Appleton, USA, where Miller has built arc welding equipment since 1929, are a common sight in pipe shops and on construction sites. Seven Star LLC sources and supplies Miller welding power sources, engine-driven welders, induction heating systems, MIG guns and auto-darkening helmets for fabricators and contractors in Oman, and checks each model and its input power configuration against the manufacturer's documentation before quoting.

Miller product families listed here

Miller welding machines on this page cover most processes used in plant construction and maintenance:
  • TIG and stick: Dynasty 400 AC/DC and Maxstar 210 STR
  • Multiprocess: XMT 400 ArcReach, XMT 650 and the PipeWorx 400 pipe welding system
  • Engine-driven welders: Trailblazer 330 and Big Blue 800 Duo Pro
  • Induction heating: ProHeat 35
  • Guns and helmets: XR-Aluma-Pro push-pull gun; T94, Classic, Digital Performance, Digital Elite and Digital Infinity helmets

Where Miller equipment is used

An XMT or PipeWorx set suits pipe spools and structural work where one power source must run stick, TIG, MIG and flux-cored procedures. Dynasty machines handle aluminum and stainless TIG. Trailblazer and Big Blue engine drives go where no mains supply exists, such as pipelines, tank erection and remote maintenance in the GCC. The ProHeat 35 is used for preheat and post-weld heat treatment of pipe joints.

Ordering Miller machines and parts: what we need

State the model and the Miller part number of the exact package, because the same machine is sold in several configurations. Give the supply at your site (voltage, phase and 50 Hz), the process and maximum current, and the accessories needed: wire feeder, remote control, cable length, torch or gun, cooler, running gear. For spare parts, the serial number from the rating label is essential, since Miller parts lists are issued by serial number range. For helmets, name the series and lens type.
