Fabrication shops that weld mostly structural steel know the TransSteel name from Fronius, the maker of welding equipment, solar inverters and battery chargers founded in 1945 and based in Pettenbach, Austria.

Fronius TransSteel 5000 Pulse

As the name shows, the TransSteel 5000 Pulse is a MIG/MAG power source with a pulsed-arc mode. A power source alone does not weld: a working set also needs a wire feeder, an interconnecting hosepack, a welding torch and, with a liquid-cooled torch, a cooling unit. The rated current at the stated duty cycle and the mains supply data should be taken from the Fronius datasheet for the exact version you intend to buy.

Ordering Fronius welding machines: what we need

Tell us the exact model, the mains voltage and frequency at your site, and which parts of the set you need. Add the wire type and diameter, the shielding gas, gas or liquid cooling, and the hosepack and torch lengths. Buyers in the GCC who are replacing a unit should send a nameplate photo with the item and serial number. We check the configuration against Fronius documentation and provide the manufacturer’s datasheet on request.
