EWM Picomig 305 puls TKM Pulse MIG/MAG Welding Machine

Description

Three-phase 300 A pulse MIG/MAG machine in a portable case

The EWM Picomig 305 puls TKM is a compact, portable multi-process welding machine from the EWM Picomig series. It runs on a three-phase 400 V supply, delivers 5 to 300 A and combines pulse and standard MIG/MAG with EWM’s rootArc and forceArc processes, TIG with lift arc, and MMA. The wire feeder is built into the same housing and takes a 15 kg wire spool of up to 300 mm diameter, so the machine can be carried by its handle, placed on a Trolly or mounted in a workshop booth.

TKM means the machine is portable and compact and can be operated with gas-cooled or water-cooled torches. The optional cool50 U40 cooling module is fitted underneath the power source in the modular casing system.

Arc processes and wire feed

The pulse version includes all processes at no extra charge, with characteristics pre-programmed for low to high-alloy steel and aluminium. rootArc is intended for root passes with easier gap bridging and for filler and cap passes, while forceArc gives a concentrated, high-performance arc with deep penetration. End-crater fill closes the crater at the end of the seam. A Synergic TKM version without pulse is also offered and keeps rootArc, forceArc, standard MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA.

The EWM eFeed four-roll drive feeds solid and flux-cored wires; the welding polarity can be reversed without tools for self-shielded flux-cored wire, and a cavity in the rear panel accepts a Rolliner guide for drum feed. The JOB list is printed on the inner flap of the wire space.

Picomig range and where the 305 fits

Model Supply Range 100% duty cycle Weight
Picomig 185 puls TKG 1 x 230 V 5-180 A 100 A 23.8 kg
Picomig 225 puls TKG 1 x 230 V 5-220 A 150 A 24 kg
Picomig 305 puls TKM 3 x 400 V 5-300 A 190 A 29.5 kg
Picomig 355 puls TKM 3 x 400 V 5-350 A 270 A 34.4 kg

The 305 suits maintenance crews and fabricators who need pulse welding on stainless steel and aluminium as well as rootArc for pipe roots, but do not need the higher continuous rating of the
