Lovato DMED300T2 Three-Phase 80 A Direct Energy Meter
Description
Direct-connection three-phase energy metering on DIN rail
The DMED300T2 is a three-phase energy meter with neutral from the Lovato Electric DME range. It connects directly to the circuit up to 80 A, so no current transformers are needed, and it measures imported and exported active and reactive energy. It occupies four DIN-rail modules and suits sub-metering of feeders, tenant loads, pumps and machine lines. Typical applications include feeder sub-metering, tenant cost allocation and energy reporting in distribution boards, where a compact meter with pulse outputs is easier to integrate than a full network analyzer.
The meter shows multiple measurements on its LCD and offers two programmable static pulse outputs for remote counting by a PLC or energy management system. It is non-expandable and has no built-in communication port, which keeps installation simple: wire the three phases and neutral, set the pulse rate if needed and read energy on the display. The values below come from the Lovato data sheet.

Pulse outputs and typical use
Each static output can be programmed to 1, 10, 100 or 1000 pulses per kWh, with a 100 ms pulse for the lower rates and 60 ms for 1000 pulses. This lets a PLC counter input or a pulse-based energy gateway collect consumption without a serial link. Because the meter is not MID certified, it is intended for internal sub-metering and cost allocation rather than legal billing.
Choosing the right DME meter
The DME family also includes CT-connected and communicating models, so please check the order code with us if you need Modbus, current transformer inputs or harmonic analysis, which the DMED300T2 does not provide. Lovato lists the DMXP04 panel-mounting accessory for four-module devices. For other power monitoring on the site, see the Janitza UMG 508, or browse automation accessories.

About brand
Lovato Electric is an Italian manufacturer of low voltage electrical devices for industrial applications, founded in 1922 in Bergamo and still family owned. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, quotes Lovato Electric contactors, motor protection circuit breakers, generator controllers and power factor controllers for control panels, motor starters and stand-by power systems.
Motor control, protection and energy management
The Lovato Electric catalogue covers contactors and motor protection circuit breakers, thermal overload relays, soft starters, pushbuttons and signalling, switch disconnectors, time and monitoring relays, energy meters, power factor controllers and engine and generator controllers. Each catalogue page links its instruction sheet, leaflet and declarations of conformity.
