PNOZsigma relays such as the PNOZ s3, s4 and s5 are fixed-function safety relays set with rotary switches. The PNOZmulti 2 base unit PNOZ m B0 is a configurable controller with 12 safe inputs and 4 safe outputs that is programmed in the PNOZmulti Configurator.
What safety levels do Pilz PNOZ relays reach?
The operating manuals for the PNOZ s3, s4 and s5 list PL e Category 4 according to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 according to EN IEC 62061. The final level of a machine always depends on the complete safety function and must be validated.
