For spares handling, the data sheet asks for storage in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from oxidising agents, acids, alkalis and heat sources. The cells are non-flammable but can vent or burst in a fire. For shipment the batteries fall under UN3028 but are exempt from dangerous goods regulations provided they are securely packed and protected against short circuit.
