A compact programmable relay with 12 inputs and 8 relay outputs

The LRD20RD024 is a micro PLC base module from the Lovato Electric LRD range. It combines 12 inputs and 8 relay outputs in a DIN-rail housing with a built-in 4 x 16 character LCD and front keypad, so simple control tasks such as pump alternation, lighting, ventilation, door and gate logic or small machine sequences can be programmed and monitored without a separate HMI. The compact housing and relay outputs make it a practical replacement or addition in small control panels where a full PLC would be more than the task requires, and the program can be edited and downloaded from a PC.

Eight of the inputs are digital and four can be used as digital or 0 to 10 V analog inputs. The base unit can be extended with LRE expansion modules for additional digital, analog, PT100 temperature and analog output channels. Programming is done on a PC in ladder or function block diagram. Expansion and communication

Lovato lists LRE modules for the base unit, including a 4 relay and 4 input module, a four-input analog module, a four-input PT100 module, a two-channel analog output module and a Modbus-RTU communication unit. Program backup memory and a USB programming cable are also available as accessories. The LRD20RD024P1 variant of the same series adds an RS485 port; this listing is the version without it.
