Miller Syncrowave 300 AC/DC TIG and Stick Welding Power Source
Description
An AC/DC TIG and stick power source for aluminium, steel and stainless
The Miller Syncrowave 300 is a 300 A TIG and stick welding power source with AC squarewave output for aluminium, DC TIG for steels and stainless, DC pulsed TIG and DC stick. Miller aims it at precision metal fabrication, maintenance and repair, light and heavy manufacturing, shipbuilding, tube and pipe, automotive and vocational training. Its Auto-Link circuit accepts 208, 240 or 480 V on single-phase or three-phase supplies, which makes installation straightforward in workshops with different supplies.

Arc controls that matter on aluminium
On AC TIG the balance control sets how much of each cycle is electrode-positive, which cleans the oxide layer, against electrode-negative, which gives penetration and keeps the tungsten tip stable. The frequency control sets the width of the arc cone: a lower frequency gives a soft, wide arc for buildup, and a higher frequency gives a narrower, more directional arc for fillets and automated welds. Pro-Set locks in factory settings, with a stated default of 68% balance and 70 Hz.
Other listed functions include auto-postflow that adjusts postflow time to the amperage setting, line voltage compensation within plus or minus 10 percent, an arc timer and cycle counter for job costing, Fan-On-Demand cooling and a memory card port for updates. For stick welding, DIG control changes arc characteristics for electrodes such as E7018 or E6010.
Packages and related Syncrowave models
Miller offers the machine only (907782), a TIGRunner package with a Coolmate 3S cooler and running gear (907782001), and complete packages with a water-cooled Weldcraft W-280 torch kit and wired (951000003) or wireless (951872) foot control. The Syncrowave family on the Miller site also includes the Syncrowave 212, the Syncrowave 400 and a Syncrowave 400 for 600 V supplies in Canada. For inverter AC/DC capability at higher current, see the published Miller Dynasty 400; other machines are listed under TIG welding machines.
Documents and quotation
The attached Miller spec sheet (index AD/4.25, issued February 2023) lists the specification table, duty cycle chart, control panel, packages and accessories. Input power plug, shielding gas and tungsten are not included. For a quotation, state the package number, supply voltage, torch cooling and the foot control or accessories required.

About brand
Blue welding machines from Appleton, USA, where Miller has built arc welding equipment since 1929, are a common sight in pipe shops and on construction sites. Seven Star LLC sources and supplies Miller welding power sources, engine-driven welders, induction heating systems, MIG guns and auto-darkening helmets for fabricators and contractors in Oman, and checks each model and its input power configuration against the manufacturer's documentation before quoting.
Miller product families listed here
Miller welding machines on this page cover most processes used in plant construction and maintenance:
- TIG and stick: Dynasty 400 AC/DC and Maxstar 210 STR
- Multiprocess: XMT 400 ArcReach, XMT 650 and the PipeWorx 400 pipe welding system
- Engine-driven welders: Trailblazer 330 and Big Blue 800 Duo Pro
- Induction heating: ProHeat 35
- Guns and helmets: XR-Aluma-Pro push-pull gun; T94, Classic, Digital Performance, Digital Elite and Digital Infinity helmets
Where Miller equipment is used
An XMT or PipeWorx set suits pipe spools and structural work where one power source must run stick, TIG, MIG and flux-cored procedures. Dynasty machines handle aluminum and stainless TIG. Trailblazer and Big Blue engine drives go where no mains supply exists, such as pipelines, tank erection and remote maintenance in the GCC. The ProHeat 35 is used for preheat and post-weld heat treatment of pipe joints.
Ordering Miller machines and parts: what we need
State the model and the Miller part number of the exact package, because the same machine is sold in several configurations. Give the supply at your site (voltage, phase and 50 Hz), the process and maximum current, and the accessories needed: wire feeder, remote control, cable length, torch or gun, cooler, running gear. For spare parts, the serial number from the rating label is essential, since Miller parts lists are issued by serial number range. For helmets, name the series and lens type.
