Kemppi Master T 505 ACDC GM TIG Welding Machine

Description

500 A AC/DC TIG machine with weld cleaning and demagnetisation modes

The Kemppi Master T 505 ACDC GM (item code MST505ACDCGM) is the most powerful model of the Kemppi Master T series of professional TIG welding machines, designed and manufactured in Finland. It welds AC and DC TIG up to 500 A and MMA up to 400 A, and the GM version is multi-voltage, working on 380-460 V and on 220-230 V three-phase supplies. Kemppi lists smooth arc ignition, reduced noise level and Weld Assist parameter guidance among the series features.

Master T ACDC models with the 7-inch display include two special modes as standard. MAX WeldClean uses the machine as an electrolytic weld cleaner to remove heat tint from stainless steel welds without extra equipment, and DeMagnetization mode removes residual magnetic fields in the workpiece that would otherwise deflect the arc.

Features and typical applications

Master T machines can be configured gas-cooled or liquid-cooled, with alternative control displays, Pulse, MicroTack and AutoCool functions, foot, hand or on-torch remote controls, two- and four-wheel transport units with floor-level cylinder loading, Flexlite TX TIG torches and optional WeldEye cloud service. The 505 is intended for heavy AC TIG on thick aluminium, mechanised TIG and long welds where a 350 A machine would run at its limit, while weld cleaning and demagnetisation help on stainless and pipeline work. For a lighter model, see the Kemppi Master T 355 ACDC.

About brand

From Lahti, Finland, Kemppi has been building arc welding equipment since 1949. The current program runs from portable stick welders to industrial MIG/MAG and TIG power sources, supported by welding helmets and the WeldEye welding management software.

Seven Star LLC lists Kemppi MIG/MAG, TIG and stick welding machines and supplies them to fabrication shops and site contractors in Oman.

Kemppi machine families listed here

Kemppi names its machines by family and current rating, which makes selection fairly direct:

  • Kempact 323A and Master M 323: compact MIG/MAG machines
  • X3 FastMig: industrial MIG/MAG system
  • Master S 500 and Minarc Evo 180: stick (MMA) welders
  • Master T 355 ACDC: AC/DC TIG machine

Kemppi sells several versions under one family name: the Master T series, for example, includes both 355 DC and 355 ACDC machines, so the full designation matters.

Where Kemppi welding machines are used

Portable units such as the Minarc Evo 180 suit maintenance and site work. The Master S stick machines are aimed at heavier electrode welding on structures and piping. MIG/MAG systems such as X3 FastMig are used in production welding of steel structures and machinery, and AC/DC TIG machines are chosen where aluminum has to be welded alongside stainless and carbon steel. Fabricators across the GCC use this mix for oil and gas, construction and general engineering jobs.

Ordering Kemppi equipment: what we need

Send the full model name and, if you have it, the Kemppi order code. State the mains supply at your site, single or three phase and the voltage, since several models exist in different supply versions. Tell us if you need the power source alone or a package with wire feeder, torch, earth cable, cooling unit and cart. For torches and wear parts, send the torch model and the wire diameter or electrode size. For an older machine, the serial number from the rating plate lets us check parts against the manufacturer documentation.
