GYS TITANIUM 400 AC/DC TIG Welding Machine
Description
Three-phase AC/DC TIG generator with synergic TIG Wizard
The GYS TITANIUM 400 AC/DC (reference 013568) is a 400 A inverter TIG power source made in France for welding mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and titanium. GYS rates it at 400 A at 60% and 360 A at 100% duty cycle, and adds covered-electrode welding with DC, AC and pulsed MMA. A 5-inch colour interface with Easy, Expert and Advanced levels lets the same machine serve occasional users and experienced welders.
Six TIG modes are provided: DC standard; DC pulse up to 2.5 kHz to reduce heat input; FastPulse up to 20 kHz for specialised steel applications; AC standard for aluminium and its alloys; AC pulse up to 500 Hz for penetration control; and AC Mix, which alternates AC and DC to increase travel speed on aluminium.

Welding tools and connectivity
The TIG Wizard is a patented synergic mode in which the welder chooses material, joint type (butt, lap, inside corner, outside corner or wire fusion) and thickness, and the machine proposes the parameters, with or without filler. Spot, Multi Spot, Tack and Multi Tack modes help with thin-sheet assembly. Arc starting can be Lift, HF or Touch.HF (timed HF), and the trigger modes are 2T, 4T and 4T LOG. E-TIG keeps the welding energy constant regardless of torch height.
For quality records, the machine measures arc energy and supports traceability of every weld seam, which GYS describes as conforming to EN 3834. Up to 500 jobs and the configuration can be backed up to a USB key, and software and synergies are updated the same way. An optional kit (037960) connects the power source to a robot.
GYS lists the following optional accessories for this power source:
| Accessory | Reference |
|---|---|
| ABITIG L torch, 8 m | 037359 |
| ABITIG DB double-button torch, 8 m | 037366 |
| WCU 1kW C cooling unit (1000 W, 5.5 L) | 013537 |
| Trolley 10m³ L | 075498 |
| RC-HA1 analog hand remote, 10 m | 045675 |
| RC-FA1 analog foot pedal, 4 m | 045682 |
| RC-HD2 digital remote | 062122 |
Compatible torches include trigger, double-button, potentiometer and push-pull types.
Choosing between AC/DC and DC-only TIG
An AC/DC machine is only needed when aluminium or magnesium alloys are welded, because alternating current breaks up the surface oxide during the electrode-positive half cycle. For stainless steel and carbon steel pipework, a DC machine such as the GYS TITAN 400 DC covers the work at lower cost. When both groups of materials are welded in one shop, the TITANIUM 400 AC/DC avoids keeping two power sources, and the AC Mix and AC pulse modes help on thin aluminium where heat control is critical.
Documents and quotation
The attached GYS datasheet gives the full feature list, accessory references and technical table. Because the machine ships without accessories, the quotation should list the torch, cooling unit, trolley, remote control and cables required. See more TIG welding machines.

About brand
GYS is a French manufacturer of welding and cutting equipment, battery chargers and collision repair systems, active since 1964. The company is headquartered in Saint-Berthevin, France, and has subsidiaries in China, Germany, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat and lists the GYS NEOPULSE 400 G pulsed MIG/MAG power source.
GYS product range
The welding and cutting program covers MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA inverters, plasma cutters, wire feeders, cooling units and torches. GYS also builds battery chargers and boosters, car body repair and spot welding equipment, and induction heating tools. Its industrial NEOPULSE series uses separate NEOFEED wire feeders and synergic curves for steel, stainless steel, aluminium and CuSi wires.
Ordering GYS equipment: what we need
GYS identifies every product and accessory by a six-digit reference number, so send the reference along with the model name. For a welding set, list the wire feeder, interconnection cable length, cooling unit, trolley and torch, and give the mains voltage at site.
