Operating Principle
The EVR 25 is a normally closed, servo-operated piston valve. When the coil is de-energized, the piston and valve plate are held closed against the valve seat by the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet sides, combined with the force of a return spring and the weight of the piston assembly. This design keeps the valve reliably sealed with zero manual intervention whenever power is removed, which is an important safety and control characteristic for unattended refrigeration plant.
When the coil is energized, the pilot orifice located in the valve cover opens, relieving pressure on the spring side of the piston.
