Orbitalum GF 4 Pipe Cutting and Beveling Machine
Description
Cold, burr-free cuts on pipe up to 120 mm
The Orbitalum GF 4 is an orbital pipe saw that cuts and bevels pipe from 12 to 120 mm OD in one set-up. The pipe is clamped without deformation while the saw blade travels around it in a planetary motion, producing a square, burr-free end that is ready for automated orbital welding. Because the process is cold, there is no heat-affected zone and no discoloration on stainless steel, which matters for hygienic and high-purity lines in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food and beverage plants.
Electronic speed control from 40 to 215 rpm lets the operator match blade speed to the material, including high-performance alloys such as Hastelloy and P91. An integrated line laser marks the cut-off point, and dedicated clamping jaws let the GF 4 hold short hose pieces and small diameters without vibration.

Feed options and what comes in the case
The base GF 4 is fed by hand. The MVM module adds a handwheel so the head rotates around the pipe with little effort and constant feed. The AVM module drives the head automatically, monitors feed force against the required output and switches off at the end of the cut; a restart inhibitor prevents accidental start-up. Automatic feed gives the most consistent cut, extends blade life and reduces operator strain on long series.
Each machine is supplied with a transport case, stainless-steel caps to avoid contact corrosion, a saw blade (code 790 042 064), mounting plate, line laser with button cells (delivered separately and fitted before commissioning), tool key set, special gear oil 790 041 030, saw blade lubricant GF TOP 790 060 228, operating instructions and the GF 4 clamping jaws.
Bevelling can be done during the cut or as a separate step. The motor handle is shaped so elbows can be cut without converting the machine, and the rotary movement can be locked against unauthorized use.

About brand
High-purity tube work depends on two things: a square, burr-free cut and a weld that comes out the same every time. Orbitalum Tools, founded in 1960 and based in Singen, Germany, makes the machines for both steps. Seven Star LLC supplies Orbitalum pipe saws, tube facing machines and orbital welding systems to fabricators and site contractors in Oman, and ten of these machines are listed on this page.
Orbitalum cutting, facing and welding machines
The listing follows the workflow on the tube. Cutting comes first: the GFX 3.0 pipe cutting and beveling machine and the portable PS 4.5 Plus pipe saw. The RPG 4.5 then squares and faces the tube end ready for a butt weld without filler. On the welding side, the Mobile Welder and Smart Welder Plus are orbital TIG power sources that store and run the weld program. They drive the weld heads:- ORBIWELD 17 and ORBIWELD 19, enclosed micro heads for small-bore tube
- ORBIWELD TP, an open head for pipe
- P16 EVO, for tube-to-tube-sheet welds
- DVR M, a rotary device that turns the workpiece under a fixed torch
Where Orbitalum equipment is used
Orbital welding and tube preparation of this kind are used wherever a weld has to be repeatable and documented: semiconductor gas lines, pharmaceutical and biotech process piping, food and beverage plants and heat exchanger manufacturing. In the GCC that translates into clean utility and process piping in pharmaceutical and dairy plants, instrument and analyzer tubing, gas distribution lines and tube-sheet work on heat exchangers.Ordering Orbitalum machines: what we need
Tell us the tube or pipe outside diameter range, wall thickness and material first, because every Orbitalum machine has a defined working range. For a saw or facing machine, add the mains voltage or battery version and the blade or tool bit type. For welding, state the joint type (tube to tube, fitting, tube sheet), whether filler wire is needed, the power source you already own and the clamping shells or collets by diameter. For spare parts, send the machine type, serial number and the part code from the manual. We check the selection against the manufacturer's documentation.Related products
