Brand: GBC Industrial Tools
GBC HYPERMAXI 20_40 Portable Pipe Beveling Machine
Description
The GBC HYPERMAXI 20_40 is a large portable pipe beveler that locks inside the pipe and covers 20 in to 36 in as standard, extending to 40 in (1016 mm) with an optional kit. GBC highlights its high metal-removal rate, achieved with either solid HSS tools or carbide-insert tools, and the tools are interchangeable with those of the SUPERMAXI 7_24.
High-removal beveling for 20 in to 40 in pipe
On large pipeline and structural tube ends, the time spent machining a heavy bevel is often set by how much metal each pass can take. The HYPERMAXI 20_40 develops up to 5450 Nm of chuck torque on the hydraulic version and has a 100 mm (3.93 in) axial stroke, double that of the SUPERMAXI models. The 870 kg machine is handled by crane; the product photo shows its lifting point at the top of the head.
The data sheet lists carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, Inconel and other alloys as workable materials, with pneumatic or hydraulic drive.

Hydraulic feeding kit
For semi-automatic operation GBC offers a hydraulic feeding kit for the HYPERMAXI 20_40. It holds a constant feed rate, which gives a consistent bevel finish and optimised cycle time, and includes a wired pendant for remote on/off and feed direction control. This keeps the operator away from the rotating head on large-diameter work.
Choose the hydraulic drive where the highest torque is required and a suitable power pack (140 bar, 64 L/min) is available; the pneumatic drive needs about 2800 Nl/min of compressed air.
Because it locks on the inside, the HYPERMAXI needs a clear bore on the pipe end and enough space behind the pipe for the machine body, which is about 1.4 m long. Large ends that are out of round or carry heavy internal weld seams should be checked before set-up. Plan crane access and a safe working zone around the rotating head before machining starts, and keep spare tool inserts on site for long runs of identical joints.
Documents and quotation
The GBC HYPERMAXI 20_40 data sheet is attached. Smaller GBC bevelers and other end-prep tools are listed in Pipe Cutting & Bevelling Machines.
For a quotation, give pipe diameters and wall, material, bevel geometry, drive preference, and whether you need the extension kit or hydraulic feeding kit.

About brand
G.B.C. Industrial Tools is an Italian manufacturer of machines for cutting and beveling metal pipes and plates, founded in 1981 by Bruno Giottoli. Since 2016 its operations have been centralised in a facility in Cazzago San Martino, near Brescia, where the machines are designed and built. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists the GBC SUPERMAXI 4_16 pipe beveling machine and sources GBC equipment for piping and fabrication work.
GBC product groups
The range includes portable pipe bevelers, pipe cutters, plate bevelers, flange facing machines, back-gouging grinders, stationary machines and special machines, together with pipe stands and pipe clamps. GBC names oil and gas, offshore, petrochemical and refining plants, pipelines, heat exchangers, shipbuilding and wind towers among the sectors it serves. Many models are offered with pneumatic, electric or hydraulic drive.Ordering GBC machines: what we need
Give the model and drive, the pipe inside and outside diameters, the wall thickness and material, and the bevel geometry. Mention whether an extension kit, a hydraulic power pack or spare tools are needed, and send the GBC tool code for replacement tools.Related products
