GBC BOILER 1-4 K Portable Pipe Beveling Machine

Description

The GBC BOILER 1-4 K is a portable pipe beveler that locks inside diameters from 23 to 108 mm (0.90–4.25 in). Light and easy to handle at 9–10 kg, it is intended for fabrication shops as well as maintenance on boilers and on-site work in power plants and refineries. Pneumatic, electric and battery versions share the same chuck and capacities.

Small-bore beveling for plant maintenance

Small-bore process and boiler lines are often prepared where they sit, so the machine must be carried in, clamped and run by one person. The BOILER 1-4 K has a compact, sturdy body, a four-slot chuck and an easily interchangeable power unit. Its 40 mm axial stroke allows deeper facing and counterboring than the smaller MINI K.

For repetitive preparations, an optional pneumatic auto-locking device speeds clamping and release. A reduced-diameter 80 mm chuck helps in tight spots, and an elbow kit extends use to elbows with IDs of 38–103 mm (1.49–4.05 in). A reduced shaft of Ø 20 mm covers bores of 20–30 mm.

Picking the drive version

The pneumatic BOILER 1-4 K gives the highest torque, up to 313 Nm at 8 bar, and is the one to choose where compressed air of about 1000 Nl/min is available. The electric version runs from 110 or 220 V mains; the battery version removes cables and hoses entirely, which helps on scaffolding and in confined boiler spaces. Carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and Inconel are among the materials listed.

Typical tasks include beveling boiler tubes for replacement panels, squaring and bevelling small-bore process lines, and counterboring to match mating fittings. For a series of identical tubes, the auto-locking option shortens each set-up; keep the four tool slots loaded with the facing, bevelling and counterboring tools the joint requires so that one clamping covers the whole end preparation.

About brand

G.B.C. Industrial Tools is an Italian manufacturer of machines for cutting and beveling metal pipes and plates, founded in 1981 by Bruno Giottoli. Since 2016 its operations have been centralised in a facility in Cazzago San Martino, near Brescia, where the machines are designed and built. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists the GBC SUPERMAXI 4_16 pipe beveling machine and sources GBC equipment for piping and fabrication work.

GBC product groups

The range includes portable pipe bevelers, pipe cutters, plate bevelers, flange facing machines, back-gouging grinders, stationary machines and special machines, together with pipe stands and pipe clamps. GBC names oil and gas, offshore, petrochemical and refining plants, pipelines, heat exchangers, shipbuilding and wind towers among the sectors it serves. Many models are offered with pneumatic, electric or hydraulic drive.

Ordering GBC machines: what we need

Give the model and drive, the pipe inside and outside diameters, the wall thickness and material, and the bevel geometry. Mention whether an extension kit, a hydraulic power pack or spare tools are needed, and send the GBC tool code for replacement tools.
