Measurement Principle

The X-am 2500 combines an innovative catalytic Ex sensor with electrochemical DrägerSensors for CO, H2S, O2, SO2, and NO2, all in an extra-small format. The catalytic Ex sensor offers high drift stability with strong resistance to silicone and hydrogen sulfide, an expected service life of more than five years, and is approved for measuring from methane to nonane per IEC/EN 60079-29-1—demonstrating its suitability for primary explosion protection in refineries and chemical plants.

The hydrogen sulphide sensor delivers high resolution for reliably measuring very low workplace exposure limits, while the non-consumptive, lead-free oxygen sensor is characterized by a service life exceeding 5 years.
