WVO 15: an NPT pressure-operated water valve for 6 to 10 bar condensing duty
The 003N8062 is a WVO 15, the NPT-threaded sibling of the WVFX in the Danfoss water-valve line. It has 1/2-14 NPT internal connections (ANSI/ASME B1.20.1), a brass body, a Kv value of 1.9 m3/h and a 900 mm capillary to a 1/4 in SAE flare union nut. The control range is 6 to 10 bar (90 to 145 psig).
The water side is rated for 16 bar (232 psig) and 10 bar differential with a medium range of -25 to 130 C. On the refrigerant side the maximum working pressure is 26.4 bar (383 psig) with a test pressure of 38 bar (551 psig). Approvals are C UL US Listed, EAC, PED and UA.

The narrow-range, NPT version
The WVO has a narrower setting range than the WVFX (6 to 10 bar against 3.5 to 16 bar), which suits air-cooled-equivalent condensing pressures of HFC systems and gives a tighter control around the set point. Opening is on rising condensing pressure and the valve handles fresh water and neutral brine.
NPT threads are the usual connection on North American and some Asian-built equipment. Verify the thread on your condenser and pipework before ordering; a G-thread valve will not seal on an NPT connection, and an incorrectly sealed thread leaks at water pressure.
Fitting and ordering checks
Install on the condenser water outlet, with the capillary clear of heat sources and sharp bends, and set the pressure with a gauge. Use thread sealant suited to water and refrigerant. The oil-free refrigerant R513A is listed.

Choosing Danfoss products
For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit. For drives, the VLT family is split by application: FC 51 Micro Drive for small machines, FC 102 HVAC Drive for fans and pumps in buildings, FC 202 AQUA Drive for water, and FC 302 AutomationDrive for demanding industrial duty.
