BARTEC

Explosion protection is the common thread in everything BARTEC makes. The company was founded in 1975 and is based in Bad Mergentheim, Germany, and its equipment is built to work safely where flammable gas or dust may be present.

Seven Star LLC lists BARTEC process analyzers, Ex enclosures, switching components and hazardous-area tablets, and supplies them to refineries, gas plants and panel builders in Oman by type number.

The analyzer group is the largest. Under the HYGROPHIL name there are the HYGROPHIL F 5674 process trace moisture analyzer and the Hygrophil HCDT hydrocarbon dew-point analyzer. Under the BARTEC BENKE name there are the RVP-4 vapor pressure process analyzer and the P-600 salt in crude analyzer. The electrical side is represented by the GUB flameproof Ex d IIC enclosure and the 07-1511 series insert switch, a component used inside control stations. The Agile X IS is a tablet PC for Zone 1, and the EXguard is a mobile gas detection system for hot work.

Where BARTEC equipment is used

Moisture and hydrocarbon dew-point analyzers monitor natural gas at dehydration units, pipeline entry points and custody stations. Vapor pressure and salt in crude analyzers serve refinery blending and crude treatment. Flameproof enclosures and Ex switches go into local control stations, junction boxes and motor starters. Ex tablets are used for inspection rounds and work permits on GCC oil and gas sites.

Ordering BARTEC parts: what we need

BARTEC identifies products by a type number, such as 07-1511-154D/02 or 5674-xx. Send that number in full with the serial number from the label. For analyzers we also need the gas or liquid composition, pressure and temperature at the sample point, the measuring span, the area classification and the signal outputs. For enclosures give the size, the required gas group and temperature class, and the cable entry schedule.
