Selectarc Ni625 ENiCrMo-3 Nickel Electrode
Nickel-base 625 electrode for corrosion-resistant joints
The Selectarc Ni625 is a basic-coated stick electrode with an alloyed core wire, classified AWS A5.11 ENiCrMo-3 and ISO 14172 E Ni 6625 (NiCr22Mo9Nb). Electrodes of this classification are used to weld nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys to themselves, to join them to lower-alloyed steels and to weld special austenitic stainless steels.

Selection notes
The weld metal of this classification is a nickel-chromium matrix with molybdenum and niobium, which gives its corrosion resistance and strength. Nickel-base alloys are normally welded with low heat input, stringer beads and a limited interpass temperature, and the electrodes are redried if exposed to humidity. Take the exact current ranges, redrying and interpass limits from the Selectarc data sheet.
ENiCrMo-3 is a common choice for dissimilar joints between stainless or nickel alloys and carbon or low-alloy steel. Check dilution and the required corrosion performance in the procedure qualification before using it on a new combination.
