Pfannenberg DTFS 6031 230V LED Green Series Cooling Unit
Description
DTFS 6031 230V LED cooling unit: decoded part number
The DTFS 6031 230V LED is a compact cooling unit of the Green Series for small cabinets, rated at 570 to 670 W. It is designed for side mounting or full recessing into a door or side wall, so that almost nothing projects into the room, and it uses a low-GWP refrigerant with a small charge.
Decoded: DTFS = side-mount or fully recessed design, 6031 = 570 to 670 W class (the 6021 is the 370 to 450 W class), 230V = single-phase 230 V and LED = the version with status LEDs only. The order number is 13824341055.

Values are from the product page for article 13824341055 and the series sheet. The DISPLAY version of the same unit has an evaporation system for condensate, whereas the LED version uses a drain.
How the DTFS 6031 230V LED works
In this compact unit a sealed refrigerant circuit cools the cabinet air, and the heat is dissipated on the external side. Energy-saving modes are included as standard, and the manufacturer points to lower operating cost from the Green Series design and a smaller refrigerant charge, which also helps a better CO2 footprint.
A Modbus interface is available as an option for integration into machine control. The service-friendly design keeps access to the main parts easy.
In the LED version the condensate leaves through a drain, so provision for the water must be made at the installation; the DISPLAY version evaporates condensate internally.
Fit in the system and related Pfannenberg parts
The DTFS 6021 and 6031 are the smallest of the Green Series, below the 1 kW DTS 6201C and the 2 kW DTS 6401.

- Modbus interface as an option
Selection and ordering checklist for the DTFS 6031 230V LED
Before ordering the DTFS 6031 230V LED, settle the following points so that the right variant is quoted:
- Heat load and worst-case ambient; capacity is 450 to 530 W at A35/A50
- LED or DISPLAY; drain or evaporation condensate handling
- Supply voltage: 230 V, 400 / 460 V or 115 V
- Cut-out and 190 mm installation depth
- Painted or stainless-steel housing
Installation, commissioning and maintenance of the DTFS 6031 230V LED
Cut out the panel and fix the unit either from outside or recessed completely. Plan the condensate drain for the LED version, since the water must flow away by gravity.
Plug in the supply, set the temperature (factory setting +35 °C) and check that the unit holds the setpoint. Check that the door and cable entries keep the stated IP55 against the enclosure.
- Clean the external condenser and the filter, if fitted
- Check the condensate drain for blockage
- Verify seals
- Use qualified staff for the refrigerant circuit
Typical applications in Oman and the GCC
This small cooling unit is intended for compact cabinets that heat up in a warm room or kiosk: instrument cabinets, small drive panels and telecommunication housings at oil and gas, water and power sites. The fully recessed option is valuable where there is limited space outside the wall.
Where the heat load is below 500 W and ambient reaches +45 °C or more, a unit like this is easier to justify than a larger one that would cycle frequently.

Site conditions in Oman for the DTFS 6031 230V LED
Panel cooling in Oman is sized for the worst case, not the average day. Summer shade temperatures in Muscat, Sohar and the interior regularly pass 45 °C, and a cabinet standing in direct sun gains further heat through its walls. When you size the DTFS 6031 230V LED, add the internal losses of drives, power supplies and PLCs to the solar and wall gain, and compare the total with the useful cooling capacity at your real ambient and target cabinet temperature, rather than with a nominal figure stated at milder test conditions.
Coastal sites near Duqm, Salalah or Sur also bring humidity and salt-laden dust. Keep door seals intact, route the condensate drain away from live parts, and plan routine filter and coil cleaning so that the DTFS 6031 230V LED keeps its rated performance through the long summer season.

About brand
Pfannenberg is the German maker of thermal management and signalling products for electrical enclosures and industry: filter fans, cooling units, air-to-water heat exchangers, chillers, heaters, sirens and beacons. Otto Pfannenberg, an electrical engineer, founded the company in Hamburg in 1954, and in 1958 he invented the filter fan to stop components in control cabinets from overheating. Pfannenberg is still family-owned and headquartered in Hamburg.
