Description
A rugged area monitor for turnarounds and temporary worksites
The Crowcon DetectiveIQ is a configurable multi-gas area monitor for temporary worksites: turnaround and shutdown work, hot-work maintenance, confined-space entry and other places where fixed detectors are impractical. It detects up to seven gases at once, with interchangeable sensor slots for electrochemical, PID, infrared, MPS, pellistor and long-life O2 sensors, and Crowcon quotes up to 15 weeks of runtime on one charge with an 8-hour recharge.
Units can pass alarms to each other over Bluetooth Mesh (up to 250 devices in 10 groups of 25, covering 2.5 km per group at 100 m spacing) and link to the Crowcon Connect cloud application for real-time alarms, compliance dashboards and location tracking. An optional pumped module samples up to 30 m (100 ft). The housing is rated IP66 and IP68 and the monitor floats.

Using DetectiveIQ for fenceline and perimeter work
For perimeter monitoring Crowcon supports fenceline deployment with up to 25 interconnected devices, so a gas alarm at one unit is repeated at the others and workers are warned wherever they are on site. Choose the sensor set to the work: LEL, O2, CO and H2S for entry and hot work, PID where VOCs from solvents or fuels are expected, and infrared or MPS where catalytic poisons are present.
What to confirm before ordering
Give the gas set, whether the pumped module is needed, the number of units for mesh deployment, approval scheme (ATEX, IECEx, CSA and INMETRO items are marked pending or listed individually in the datasheet), and calibration gas supply. Note the datasheet lists a 2-year warranty on the unit with sensor warranty separate.

The Gasman is a single-gas personal detector, worn by one person to warn of one hazard such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, flammable gas or low oxygen. The Gas-Pro is a multi-gas detector for confined space entry that monitors up to five gases and can be ordered with an internal pump for pre-entry sampling. In both cases the sensor fit is chosen at the time of order.

Send the gases and ranges you need, the alarm levels if they differ from the manufacturer's defaults, and for a Gas-Pro if the pumped version is wanted. For spare sensors, send the detector model, serial number and the gas. Add chargers, sampling kits or test accessories to the same inquiry. Contractors in the GCC should state the approval marking their site permit system asks for.
