Where Det-Tronics equipment is used

What is the difference between the Det-Tronics X3301, X5200 and X2200?

They use different optical principles. The X3301 is a multispectrum infrared detector, the X5200 combines an ultraviolet and an infrared sensor, and the X2200 uses ultraviolet only. The right choice depends on the fuel, the expected fire, and the false alarm sources at the location, so follow your fire and gas study.

How do I identify the exact Det-Tronics model from the label?

The label carries the model and a longer part number with code positions for housing material, conduit thread, output and approval. Copy the whole number and the serial number. Two X3301 detectors with different output codes are not interchangeable in the same loop, so the full code is what we check.

Can a relay-output detector be used on an Eagle Quantum Premier system?

EQP field devices communicate with the controller over the system network, so detectors meant for an EQP loop are ordered in the EQP output version. A relay or 4-20 mA version of the same model has a different part number. Tell us how the existing detector is connected before ordering.

What approvals do Det-Tronics detectors carry?

The manufacturer states that its products hold performance and safety certifications from recognized third-party agencies, that they are rated for hazardous locations, and that its flame and gas detectors and safety systems are SIL 2 capable.
