Apollo product series
XP95 is Apollo’s analogue addressable range. Listed devices include the 55000-600 optical smoke detector, intrinsically safe versions of the optical smoke detector (55000-640APO), heat detector (55000-440APO) and manual call point (55100-940), the 55000-280 IR2 flame detector and its flameproof 55000-295 version, and the XP95 sounder control unit. Soteria is the newer addressable range, represented by the SA5100-600 optical smoke detector, the SA5100-700 optical heat multisensor and the Soteria Dimension FL5100-600APO.
Conventional devices include the Orbis I.S. optical smoke detector, the Series 65 A1R heat detector, the 55000-064 UV/IR2 flame detector and the Fireray One beam detector for large open spaces.

How do I identify an Apollo device for replacement?
Look for the part number on the label, written as five digits, a dash and three digits or characters. The label also shows the range, such as XP95. Quote the number in full, because variants with and without a short-circuit isolator, or with different approvals, differ only in the last characters.
Will an XP95 device work with my fire alarm control panel?
XP95 devices communicate on the Apollo protocol and must be connected to a control panel designed for it. The panel maker's compatibility list is the document to check, not the look of the device. Send the panel make, model and software version if known, and we will compare the part number with the published compatibility information.
What does an XP95 Sounder Control Unit need on site?
It occupies an address on the loop and controls a separate circuit of sounders, which is powered from an external supply intended for fire alarm use. When replacing one, note the loop address setting, the wiring of the sounder circuit and its end-of-line device, so the new unit is set up in the same way.
