REHM BOOSTER.PRO 230 Digital Stick (MMA) Inverter Welder

Description

A digital stick inverter for site welding

The REHM BOOSTER.PRO 230 is a fully digital electrode (MMA) inverter in the housing design of the TIGER range. It is built for steelwork, repair and site welding where the machine is carried, run from a long cable or a generator, and knocked about. REHM fits a Power Factor Controller (PFC) that keeps the current draw clean, lets the machine run on supplies from 110 to 260 V at reduced power, and, per REHM, works with a 100 m mains cable and on generators.

Process control includes hot start, SoftStart, anti-stick, freely adjustable ArcForce, electrode pulse welding (HYPER.PULS up to 17,500 Hz) and LiftArc contact ignition for basic TIG work. Synergy characteristics are stored for basic and rutile electrodes, and the Boost function delivers full output from a single-phase supply. A VRD voltage reduction device is fitted as standard for safer work in damp conditions.

REHM also lists TIG torches with separate gas control, an electrode cable and a mounting case as accessories; the item numbers are in the brochure. The brochure covers the smaller BOOSTER2 150 on the same pages, with 5 to 150 A and 2.3 kg, if a lighter machine is wanted.

What to confirm before ordering

Check the electrodes you use against the 180 A booster range and the duty cycle, and confirm whether a generator or a long cable run is involved so the PFC and supply tolerance can be checked against the real site. State whether the set with case and cables is needed. For heavy daily stick work above these ratings, a larger machine is a better match.

REHM lists synergy characteristics for basic and rutile electrodes, so if cellulosic or special alloy electrodes are used, confirm them against the manufacturer documentation. The set with case and cables suits site crews that want a ready-to-weld kit, while the bare machine suits shops that already own suitable cables and clamps.

About brand

REHM is a German manufacturer of MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA welding machines and plasma cutting systems. The company, REHM GmbH u. Co. KG Schweißtechnik, is based in Uhingen and states that its equipment is developed and produced in Germany. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists these machines for fabricators, workshops and maintenance teams that want robust inverter equipment backed by clear technical data.

Product lines and technology

The range includes the SYNERGIC.ARC heavy-duty MIG/MAG machines, the MEGA.ARC and FOCUS.ARC pulse systems, TIGER digital portable TIG inverters, BOOSTER stick (MMA) inverters and BARRACUDA plasma cutters. The machines use the SIRIUS graphic operating system, and the TIG line adds the HYPER.PULS, HYPER.SPOT and DUAL.WAVE processes. The manufacturer also supplies welding accessories, training and service.

Ordering: what we need

Give the process (MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA or plasma), the current range and duty cycle, the mains supply, whether water-cooled torches are used, and the item number from the REHM brochure if you have it.
