ABB CR-M024DC3 Interface Relay 24 V DC 3 c/o 10 A
Description
CR-M024DC3: three 10 A changeover contacts from a 24 V DC signal
CR-M024DC3 sits between the two-contact and four-contact members of the CR-M range. It offers three changeover (SPDT) contacts rated 10 A at 250 V from a 24 V DC coil, and no LED. A single PLC output can therefore switch three separate circuits, for instance a valve, a lamp and a feedback signal.
It is a miniature relay intended for use in a socket, 27 mm wide, with an integrated test button for manual operation.

Contacts in the three-contact version
In the ABB table the three-contact relay has a thermal current of 10 A, a maximum making current of 20 A and a breaking power of 2500 VA (AC1). The electrical life is above 100,000 cycles at 10 A and 250 V, and mechanical life is above 20 million cycles.
The contacts are numbered 11-12/14, 21-22/24 and 31-32/34. The coil is connected to A1-A2, and the DC function modules are wired with A1 plus and A2 minus.
Choosing the correct socket
A three-contact relay needs a socket built for three contacts: ABB lists the CR-M3SS standard screw socket (1SVR405651R2000) and the CR-M3LS logical screw socket (1SVR405651R2100). The CR-M4 sockets are listed for two or four contacts only, so they are not the right choice here.
The jumper bar CR-MJ (1SVR405658R6000) joins adjacent coil terminals on screw sockets. The holder CR-MH (1SVR405659R1000) secures the relay against vibration.
Documents and quotation

Seven Star LLC supplies the CR-M024DC3 on request from Muscat as an independent supplier; availability and lead time are given in the quotation. More products of this kind are in the Automation Accessories category, and a related item is the ABB CR-M024DC4L interface relay.
Confirm before ordering: the coil voltage on site (AC or DC), the load current and type (resistive or inductive), the number of changeover contacts needed and the socket type.

About brand
ABB is the Swiss-Swedish engineering group for electrification and automation: low voltage drives, motors, circuit breakers and motor control, process instruments and analysers, control systems and robots. It was formed on 5 January 1988 by the merger of two older companies. ASEA was founded in Västerås, Sweden, in 1883 by Ludvig Fredholm to make electric lighting and generators. BBC Brown Boveri was founded in Baden near Zurich in 1891 by Charles E. L. Brown and Walter Boveri. ABB Ltd is incorporated in Switzerland, headquartered in Zurich and listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and Nasdaq Stockholm.

Choosing an ABB drive
ABB's ACS drive codes are easy to read once you know the pattern. In ACS580-01-046A-4, "ACS580" is the drive family, "01" means a wall-mounted single drive, "046A" is the rated output current (about 46 A) and "-4" means a 380–480 V supply. The family is chosen by application: ACS355 for compact machinery, ACS310 for simple pumps and fans, ACS580 as the general-purpose drive, ACQ580 for water and wastewater with pump functions such as pipe fill and dry-run protection, and ACS880 for heavy industrial duty with direct torque control. Size the drive on the motor's full-load current, not only its kW rating, and allow derating for the high ambient temperatures common in Gulf electrical rooms.
Where ABB products are used
In Oman and the GCC, ABB drives and motors run pumps, fans and compressors in water and wastewater plants, district cooling, oil and gas and industry. ABB flowmeters, level instruments and analysers are used in water utilities, power and desalination plants and refineries, and SACE breakers protect switchboards in buildings and plants.

Ordering ABB products: what we need
Send the full type code from the nameplate (for example ACS580-01-046A-4 or 266DSH...) and, for spare parts, the ABB ID number (such as 3BSE008508R1 or 1SBL176001R3010). For drives, add the motor power and current and any option codes (+...). For instruments, send the complete order code, which sets range, materials and approvals. Baldor motors are listed on their own brand page.
