Description
Compact 1,500 lb positioner for bench-height weldments
The Pandjiris 15-4 MVRHTFB is a 1,500 lb welding positioner that turns and tilts small to medium weldments so the joint can be welded in the flat or horizontal position. Rotation is motor driven and variable from 0.08 to 1.60 RPM with Forward-Stop-Reverse switching and dynamic braking, while the 24 in square table is tilted by hand crank through 135 degrees. The fixed base holds the table at 23-1/4 in, low enough for full tilt, and the unit runs from a 115 V single-phase supply.
Two further versions use the same rotation drive. The 15-4 MVRMTAB adds a motorized tilt and an adjustable base with three pinned heights, giving a 20 to 33 in swing radius at 90° tilt. The 15-4 MVRMT-VPL has a vertical power lift on an acme jack screw and linear rail guides, setting the table anywhere between 26 and 38 in above the floor.

Overhung load, options and installation notes
Pandjiris derates the 15-4 as the load’s centre of gravity moves away from the table face: 1,500 lb from 0 to 4 in, 1,200 lb at 6 in, 750 lb at 12 in, 429 lb at 24 in, 353 lb at 30 in, 300 lb at 36 in and 261 lb at 42 in. Add the fixture weight to the part weight and check the combined centre of gravity before choosing this model over a larger frame such as the 30-6.
The drawing shows a rotation offset of 3 in and an inherent overhang of 4 in. Pin positions on the adjustable base give table heights from 23-1/2 in to 37-1/2 in. The equipment is high-frequency protected, so it can be used with TIG welding without disturbing the speed control.
Optional items listed by Pandjiris include Forward/Stop/Reverse and variable-speed foot switches, a preset digital tachometer, the Dialweld meter that sets table RPM from the weld diameter and travel speed, tach feedback, 600 PT and 1200 PT copper welding grounds, a 24 in round table, a pendant with tilt buttons, wireless foot switch or pendant, and the OS-15 outboard support stand of 1,500 lb capacity for the adjustable-base unit.
