The Pemamek PEMA SPSi 1500 is the entry size of the Skyhook PRO range that Pemamek builds in Loimaa, Finland. It carries 1,500 kg on a 700 mm table plate, rotates it at 0.07 to 1.3 rpm and tilts it at 0.1 to 1 rpm, while a motorised height axis moves the tilting axle between 850 and 1,650 mm. That combination lets a welder bring seams, flanges and nozzles on skids, pump bases, small pressure parts and fabricated frames to a comfortable down-hand position.

Pemamek explains that optimal and repeatable positioning improves ergonomics and safety and that the PRO software stores movements so the same workpiece is turned the same way each time. The positioner is supplied with the durable wired RC32H remote control; the PRO application runs in a web browser over WiFi on a phone, tablet or laptop and covers programming of the positioner, machine diagnostics, a maintenance log and note-taking.

Load capacity and workpiece selection

The datasheet carries two load diagrams that matter when choosing a size. The 1,500 kg rating is available while the centre of gravity stays close to the table: rotational torque of 1,000 Nm limits how far the centre of gravity can sit from the rotation axis, and the 3,000 Nm tilting torque limits the distance from the table surface. Multiply the workpiece mass by each distance to check both torques before specifying the unit, and compare against the diagrams in the datasheet rather than the headline load alone.

Workpiece diameter up to 2,400 mm can be rotated, and the 400 mm offset sets the position of the centre of gravity relative to the tilt axis. For heavier or longer loads move up the range; the series is listed by Pemamek from 750 kg to 15,000 kg. Other sizes in the Skyhook PRO range:

Ordering and what to confirm before ordering

Pemamek lists the SPSi 1500 by model name and does not print a stock code on its datasheet; quotation is by specification. Please state the heaviest workpiece, its centre-of-gravity distances, the largest rotating diameter, the supply voltage, the welding power source for the integrated grounding path and whether wireless control or a foot pedal is required.
