A hydraulic three-axis positioner for extra-heavy fabrications

The Pemamek PEMA APSi 3500 is a Skymaster PRO positioner. Where the Skyhook PRO uses motorised rotation, tilting and height adjustment, the Skymaster offers broad hydraulic three-axis movement: the height, tilt and rotation of the workpiece are adjustable and programmable. The APSi 3500 is rated at 35,000 N (the load diagram shows 3,500 kg), has a hydraulic tilt through 135 degrees in 30 seconds, and a 950 mm table plate with four M20 DIN508 T-slots.

Height covers 980 to 1,750 mm in a footprint of only 1,030 mm by 2,340 mm and 1,700 kg of weight, which makes it compact for its capacity. Its main features per Pemamek are remotely programmable movements with a memory function, a library of stored work cycles and handling positions, always-correct welding positions, a quick learning period for new employees and comprehensive diagnostics. The positioner is supplied with the durable wired RC32H remote control; the PRO application runs in a web browser over WiFi on a phone, tablet or laptop and covers programming of the positioner, machine diagnostics, a maintenance log and note-taking.

Ordering and what to confirm before ordering

The datasheet describes the model by name, not a stock code, so quotation is by specification. Please state the workpiece mass and centre-of-gravity distances in line with the two diagrams, the largest diameter, the arc process, and the supply. A hydraulic unit needs a suitable place for the pump and service access, and the 700 A grounding rating should be matched to the power source in use.

The APSi 3500 is the smaller of the two Skymaster sizes covered here. At 1,700 kg it is light enough for many existing floors, but confirm the slab condition, cable routing for the 12 m supply, hydraulic service access and the clearance needed for the 135 degree tilt around the workpiece.
