Evident Vanta Element Handheld XRF Analyzer

Description

Affordable handheld XRF for alloy identification, sorting and positive material checks

The Evident Vanta Element series is a pair of handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers for fast alloy identification and grade comparison. The Vanta Element performs basic alloy ID with a 2 W tungsten-anode tube, while the Vanta Element-S adds light element detection of magnesium, aluminium, silicon, sulphur and phosphorus with a 4 W silver-anode tube and a faster silicon drift detector. Evident positions them for scrap sorting, metal manufacturing and precious metals analysis, with analysis it states is up to two times faster than previous models, and a smartphone-like interface to shorten training.

Choosing between the two models

Use the Element for basic alloy ID, and the Element-S where sulphur, silicon, phosphorus, aluminium or magnesium must be reported, for example to separate certain aluminium alloys or check residual elements in steels. Evident states that both models offer fast grade ID with on-screen grade comparison, and that an element addition option is available for both. The sister Vanta Core and Vanta Max models, covered on the same specification sheet, offer more analytical performance for fast alloy identification and for mining and soil work respectively.

Regulatory notes and selection

Handheld XRF analyzers contain an X-ray tube, and licensing or registration requirements vary by country and site, so confirm them before ordering. Decide whether light element reporting is needed, which grade libraries and calibration are required for your procedure, and whether wireless options are wanted. A higher-end handheld analyzer already listed is the Thermo Fisher Niton XL5 Plus; more instruments are under Portable Test and Measurement.

Documents and quotation

The attached Evident specification sheet covers the Vanta Max, Core, Element-S and Element models. Send the materials to be tested, the elements and limits needed and the procedure with your inquiry, and confirm the exact model and options before ordering.

About brand

Evident makes nondestructive testing, remote visual inspection and material analysis instruments, building on more than a century of Olympus heritage. Its inspection business joined Wabtec Corporation in 2025, and the Evident name is planned to transition to Wabtec Inspection Technologies in 2027. Seven Star LLC supplies Evident ultrasonic thickness gauges, flaw detectors, eddy current instruments and XRF analyzers to inspection teams in Oman and the GCC on inquiry.

Evident ultrasonic and eddy current instruments

The range includes handheld ultrasonic thickness gauges such as the 39DL PLUS and 45MG, EPOCH conventional flaw detectors, NORTEC eddy current flaw detectors and OmniScan phased array systems, together with a broad line of transducers, probes and accessories. Gauges for corrosion mapping and wall thickness checks sit alongside weld inspection instruments, so one manufacturer can cover several inspection methods on a refinery shutdown or a pipeline project.

Material analysis and visual inspection

Evident also lists Vanta handheld XRF analyzers for alloy identification and positive material identification, and IPLEX video borescopes for remote visual inspection of pipes, vessels and machinery. Specifying the correct model depends on the material, the thickness range, the code or procedure and the site conditions, and we check the order code against the manufacturer's documentation before quoting.
