Thermo Fisher Scientific builds laboratory and analytical instruments, and gas analysis by infrared spectroscopy is one of its instrument lines. The MAX-iR FTIR gas analyzer

An FTIR analyzer passes infrared light through a gas cell and records the whole absorption spectrum at once. Each compound absorbs at its own wavelengths, so one measurement can report many gases together, including species that simpler single-gas analyzers cannot separate. Thermo Fisher describes the MAX-iR for in-line process monitoring, batch sampling, gas purity certification, emissions testing and ambient air monitoring, and catalogs separate configurations for those duties.

Ordering a Thermo Fisher gas analyzer: what we need

Tell us the gases to be measured and the expected range of each, the background gas, sample pressure, temperature and moisture content, and whether the duty is process, emissions or purity testing. Add the supply voltage and any area classification. We check the configuration against the manufacturer’s documentation and provide the datasheet with the quotation on request.
