Where Fluke instruments are used

Ordering Fluke instruments: what we need
Send the exact model with its suffix, since versions differ. A Fluke 721, for example, is defined by its two pressure ranges, and a 729 by its maximum pressure. For bench calibrators, list the options you need, such as oscilloscope calibration or power quality options, the line voltage, and the type of calibration certificate you require from the manufacturer. For Fluke multimeters and clamp meters, add the kit contents wanted, such as probes, leads or cases.

How do I choose between the Fluke 754, 789, 721 and 729?
They cover different tasks. The 754 is a documenting multifunction calibrator with HART communication for transmitters. The 789 combines a multimeter with a mA loop calibrator and 24 V loop supply. The 721 is a handheld pressure calibrator with two built-in sensors, and the 729 adds an internal electric pump that generates and regulates pressure automatically.
Why does the full Fluke model suffix matter for pressure calibrators?
Pressure calibrators are built with fixed sensor ranges. The suffix on a Fluke 721 names the low and high pressure sensor ranges, and the suffix on a 729 gives the maximum pressure the internal pump controls. A unit with the wrong range cannot be reconfigured later, so quote the suffix together with the required pressure unit.
What replaces older Fluke bench calibrators such as the 5500A or 5720A?
Fluke names the 5730A as the recommended replacement for the 5700A and 5720A multifunction calibrators, and the 8588A reference multimeter builds on the 8508A. Among the multi-product calibrators listed here, the 5502A and 5522A are the later models. Workload coverage and options differ between generations, so send your required functions and uncertainties and we will check the manufacturer's current specification.
What calibration documents does Fluke supply with a new instrument?
Handheld tools are supplied with the manufacturer's statement of calibration practices or a traceable calibration certificate, depending on the model. Bench calibrators and reference standards can be ordered with an accredited calibration certificate that reports measured data. Tell us which certificate type your quality system requires, because it is selected when the instrument is ordered.
