Brand:

Ensitech TBE-440 TIG Brush Weld Cleaner

Description

A mid-range TIG Brush with clean, polish and marking modes

The Ensitech TBE-440 is a weld cleaning and passivation machine for workshops that weld stainless steel regularly but do not need the output of the top models. It removes discoloration, heat tint and oxides from welds and adds two further functions: electropolishing and marking. The Print and Engrave settings are used with stencils and branding kits to put logos or identification onto stainless parts.

The unit is compact, bottom-weighted so it stands steady on a bench, and housed in a grey IP64 case. Ensitech positions it for light to medium oxidation.

Choosing between Clean, Polish and Print

Clean mode is the everyday weld-cleaning setting and leaves the surface passivated. Polish/Engrave mode removes a little metal to brighten the weld and is also used to etch marks. Print mode applies a darker oxide image through a stencil without removing material. The Low and High power settings let the operator adapt to sheet thickness and the amount of oxide. As with every TIG Brush, the patented Dynamic Power Transfer supply adjusts output as the brush wears, which keeps brush temperature under control. In practice the 440 suits kitchen-equipment makers, sign and balustrade fabricators and general job shops: work where TIG welds on 1–3 mm sheet dominate and a company logo or part number is often etched onto the finished item.

Kit and applicators

The 440 ships as a LokWand Kit with control unit, LokWand and 4 m handle cable, ground cable, 10 push-in brushes, 1 litre each of cleaning and neutralising fluid, PPE, fluid jar, spray bottle, manual and quick-start guides. Ensitech lists kit code K-X440L-F2542 (US: K-E440LW-G2542-RB1). Because the 440 accepts all single-brush applicators, Slimline, PROPEL, Classic Wand and Flexi tools can be added later for fillet welds, corners or wide flat areas.

About brand

Ensitech is an Australian manufacturer of metal surface finishing technology, established in 2006 and based in Emu Plains, New South Wales. It designs and builds the TIG Brush, an electrochemical system that removes heat tint from stainless steel welds and passivates the surface in the same step. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists the TBE-550 weld cleaner and sources Ensitech equipment and fluids for stainless steel fabricators.

TIG Brush weld cleaning systems

The TIG Brush combines electric current, heat and a cleaning fluid applied through a conductive brush, in place of pickling paste or abrasive work on discoloured welds. The current range covers the 330, 440, 550 and 700 control units. TBE models accept 110–230 V supplies, while TBX models are built for 220–230 V only. Each unit works with interchangeable application tools such as the Slimline torch, LokWand, PROPEL torch and Flexi Handle.

Ordering Ensitech equipment: what we need

Give the control unit model and series (TBE or TBX), the application tool you plan to use, and the stainless grade and typical weld type. For consumables, list the brush type and the cleaning and neutralising fluids by name. We check the selection against Ensitech documentation and provide the manufacturer's specification sheet on request.
