Ensitech TB-31ND pH Neutral Weld Cleaning Fluid
Description
A non-dangerous fluid that cleans and passivates without neutralising
Ensitech TB-31ND is a pH-neutral, water-based cleaning fluid for TIG Brush machines. It removes heat tint and passivates stainless steel welds and surfaces, and because it is neither corrosive nor flammable it is classed as a non-dangerous good. After cleaning, the part is simply rinsed with water: no separate neutralising step is required.
The fluid does not polish, so it leaves no white frosting and does not change the appearance of mirror-polished stainless. That makes it suitable for handrails, balustrades and architectural work, and for sites where acid handling is restricted.

How TB-31ND works and when to choose it
The cleaning compounds are activated by the heat generated at the TIG Brush; they attack iron oxides on the weld while the sequestrant binds the dissolved iron so it rinses away. Ensitech states the surface is cleaned and passivated to tested levels. Where maximum cleaning speed or polishing is needed, the manufacturer recommends TB-25 or TB-21ND instead; TB-31ND is chosen when safety, transport classification or a simpler process matter more than speed.
Procedure and disposal
Pour the working quantity into a separate container, saturate the brush, clean according to the TIG Brush manual without letting the brush dry, then rinse with clean water and dry with a microfibre cloth or compressed air. If fluid dries on the part, repeat the cycle. TB-31ND contains phosphorus compounds, which some water authorities control; small quantities are diluted about 10:1 with water where local rules allow. Read the Safety Data Sheet before use. Machines and other consumables are under Weld Cleaning.

About brand
Ensitech is an Australian manufacturer of metal surface finishing technology, established in 2006 and based in Emu Plains, New South Wales. It designs and builds the TIG Brush, an electrochemical system that removes heat tint from stainless steel welds and passivates the surface in the same step. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists the TBE-550 weld cleaner and sources Ensitech equipment and fluids for stainless steel fabricators.
TIG Brush weld cleaning systems
The TIG Brush combines electric current, heat and a cleaning fluid applied through a conductive brush, in place of pickling paste or abrasive work on discoloured welds. The current range covers the 330, 440, 550 and 700 control units. TBE models accept 110–230 V supplies, while TBX models are built for 220–230 V only. Each unit works with interchangeable application tools such as the Slimline torch, LokWand, PROPEL torch and Flexi Handle.
Ordering Ensitech equipment: what we need
Give the control unit model and series (TBE or TBX), the application tool you plan to use, and the stainless grade and typical weld type. For consumables, list the brush type and the cleaning and neutralising fluids by name. We check the selection against Ensitech documentation and provide the manufacturer's specification sheet on request.
