GCE X501 Original G0767680 Hand Cutting Torch

Description

An injector hand cutting torch for steel up to 300 mm

The GCE X501 Original G0767680 is the acetylene version of the GCE X501 hand cutting torch, with a length of 530 mm and an 85 degree head. The X501 is an injector torch (a mixer with suction), used for manual cutting and heating with oxygen and acetylene or propane; GCE states that it cuts steel up to 300 mm thick. It is built to EN ISO 5172.

The torch has forward-mounted trim valves for the preheating oxygen and fuel gas, which puts flame adjustment close to the hand, and a cutting-oxygen lever designed for fine control during piercing, gouging and rivet washing. GCE highlights the balance and profile of the torch and its high flow rate.

Cutting nozzles for the G0767680

This version takes acetylene nozzles of the AC, FHA and R types. The GCE brochure lists AC cutting nozzles from 14001010 (3 to 10 mm) through 14001011, 14001012, 14001013, 14001014 and 14001015 to 14001016 (200 to 300 mm), plus AC heating nozzles 14001020 (3 to 100 mm) and 14001021 (100 to 300 mm). R cutting nozzles run from 14001700 (3 to 10 mm) to 14001703 (60 to 100 mm), with heating nozzle 14001710. FHA nozzles 14001440 to 14001443 are cutting nozzles and 14001444 and 14001445 are heating nozzles. Select the nozzle by plate thickness and set the regulator pressures from the nozzle table supplied by the manufacturer.

An oxy-fuel installation should always include flashback arrestors at the regulators and properly rated hoses.

In an injector torch the oxygen jet draws the fuel gas into the mixer, so the torch works with low fuel-gas pressures, which is one reason injector designs are widely used with acetylene. In general terms, keep nozzle seats clean and undamaged, because a leaking seat or a nozzle with a fouled bore causes flame instability, backfire and a poor cut face. Clean bores only with the correct nozzle cleaners, never with drills or wire that enlarge the orifice, and store spare nozzles in their packaging to protect the seats. Where a nozzle-mix design is preferred, GCE also offers the GCE X511 Original cutting torch.

About brand

GCE is a manufacturer of gas control equipment for industrial, medical and specialty gases, with its global headquarters in Steinhausen, Switzerland. The GCE Group was founded in 1987 as a maker of gas equipment. Since 2018 GCE has been part of ESAB.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list the X511 Original oxy-fuel cutting torch and source GCE gas welding and cutting equipment on request.

GCE equipment for welding and cutting

For gas welding and cutting the manufacturer offers cutting and welding sets, combination torches and hand cutting torches such as the X11 and X511 ranges, cutting nozzles, cylinder regulators and line regulators. Outside welding, GCE supplies equipment for medical gases and for high-purity specialty gases. Products are documented with instructions for use and declarations of conformity.

Ordering GCE torches and regulators: what we need

Give the GCE article number, or the product range with length, head angle and inlet threads. State the fuel gas, acetylene or propane, because the nozzle type depends on it, together with the plate thickness you cut and the safety devices required on site.
