CK Worldwide CK20 Water-Cooled TIG Torch
A compact 250 A water-cooled TIG torch
The CK Worldwide CK20 is a water-cooled TIG torch rated at 250 A, ACHF or DCSP, at 100% duty cycle. It is built in Auburn, Washington, and uses the CK Max-Flo water cooling design, which the manufacturer says gives four times the cooling surface area of a comparable competitor torch. The hose connections use CK’s Fail-Safe design.
The CK20 is available as a rigid head or a flex head (FX), each with or without a gas valve (CK20V). It uses 2 Series consumables, which are shared with the CK9 and CK25 torches, so collets, collet bodies and cups can be stocked once for all three.

Hoses, adapters and consumables
The 3-piece assembly consists of a power cable, a water hose and an argon hose. Cooling water enters through the water hose and returns through the power cable. Standard hoses are 212PC, 212WH and 212AH for 12.5 ft and 225PC, 225WH and 225AH for 25 ft; Super-Flex versions carry the suffix SF, and TRI-FLEX packages are also available.
For machines with DINSE sockets, CK lists the SLWHAT-25 and SLWHAT-35 adapters for DINSE 25 and DINSE 35, plus gas-through versions with the suffix M. SLWHAT-T suits Tweco and SLWHAT-CL suits Cam-Lock connections. Back caps come in long (200L), medium (200M) and short (200S). Collets are available from 0.020 in (0.5 mm) to 1/8 in (3.2 mm), and the AK-4 accessory kit bundles common 2 Series parts.
Installation and selection
Before first use, tighten the regulator, hose and power cable fittings with proper wrenches and secure the knurled hose fittings. Then purge the regulator and torch with inert gas at 20 cubic feet per hour. Repeat this whenever fittings have been detached.
Choose rigid or flex according to joint access, and add a valve only if the power source has no gas solenoid. The torch needs a water cooler, and the machine-side connection must match the power source. For a longer neck reach, CK lists CK200 extended-length rigid bodies on the CK20 ordering page.
