Hydac SB330-10A1/112S1-210A Bladder Accumulator, 10 L

Description

The standard bottom-repairable 10 litre SB330 accumulator, CRN version

The Hydac SB330-10A1/112S1-210A (HYDAC part number 2090072) is the standard design of the SB330 bladder accumulator. Unlike the TR variant, the bladder is changed from the bottom, after the shell has been removed from the system, which is acceptable on machines where the accumulator is easy to unscrew. It stores 10 litres (2.5 gallons) with an effective gas volume of 566 cubic inches and works up to 210 bar (3000 psi).

It weighs 39 kg (86 lb), a little less than the top-repairable version of the same size, with a G2 BSPP radial-seal fluid port and the Canadian CRN registration (S1) in the code.

Standard versus top repairable

SB 330 – 10 A 1 / 112 S1 – 210 A: with no TR after SB330, this is the standard bottom-repairable design. The 10 is the size in litres, A a threaded line connection, 1 the gas valve version, 112 the mineral oil material code, S1 the Canada CRN registration, 210 the working pressure in bar and A the BSPP fluid port. Choose the standard design where the unit is accessible and the machine can be taken apart, and choose the TR design when the shell is welded into a pipe run or hard to reach.

Installation guidance

The datasheet says bladder accumulators can be installed in any orientation, but with the fluid port at the bottom for vertical or inclined mounting. They screw directly into the system, and HYDAC recommends mounting components to limit vibration stress. A safety block, relief valve and a precharge gauge should be fitted to the circuit, and nitrogen is the only precharge gas. Because the approval in this code is Canadian, confirm the approval required for your country before ordering.

The datasheet lists agricultural and forestry machinery, oil field and offshore, machine tools and mining among common applications. Record the precharge pressure and check it after the first week because gas loss, not fluid wear, is the usual cause of accumulator problems.

Because this is the bottom-repairable design, plan service access beneath the unit so the bladder can be reached when the shell is taken off the system. Keep the mounting clamp positions in mind, since they must not obstruct the bottom cap, and keep spare seals and a bladder kit if the machine cannot be down for long.

About brand

HYDAC is the German hydraulics group known for hydraulic filters, accumulators and electronic pressure and temperature sensors. It was founded in 1963 in Sulzbach, Saarland, by Werner Dieter and Otmar Schön. The name comes from "hydraulic accumulator", the first product it made under licence. It is still a family company headquartered in Sulzbach.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list HYDAC filters, filter elements, accumulators, pressure transmitters and switches, and supply them for hydraulic power units, turbines, compressors and mobile machines in Oman and the GCC.

Most hydraulic failures start with dirty or wet oil. That is why a system has filters at several points: a pressure filter in front of sensitive valves, a return filter that cleans what comes back to the tank, and a breather that stops dust and humidity entering as the oil level moves. The filter element's rating (for example 3, 10 or 25 µm) and its material decide what cleanliness class the oil reaches. On HYDAC sensors, the type code also sets the pressure range, the output and the connector. For example, HDA 4445-A-400-000 is a 4-20 mA transmitter for 0-400 bar.

Where HYDAC products are used

In Oman and the GCC, HYDAC filters, accumulators and sensors are used on turbine and compressor lube oil systems, hydraulic power units, offshore and marine hydraulics, cranes, presses, steel and aluminium plants, and construction and mobile machines.

Ordering HYDAC products: what we need

Send the full HYDAC type code or part number from the label. For filter elements, the element code on the end cap (for example 0160 D 010 BN4HC) gives the size, filter type, micron rating and material. For accumulators, send the volume, pressure rating and connection. For sensors, send the pressure range, output signal and connector.
