Brand:

Atos AGMZO Digital Proportional Pressure Relief Valve

Description

A digitally controlled relief valve with on-board pressure feedback

The Atos AGMZO is a piloted, poppet-type proportional relief valve with an on-board pressure transducer for closed-loop pressure control. The pressure setting is a reference signal rather than a spring, so a machine control can change relief pressure while it runs, ramp it, and read back the actual pressure. Three driver executions exist: R for an off-board driver, REB with a basic on-board digital driver (analog reference or IO-Link), and RES with a full on-board driver that adds fieldbus.

Typical uses are press and clamping force control, hydraulic test rigs, injection moulding and die casting, and power packs that need soft pressure ramps instead of fixed relief steps. Smart Tuning lets the dynamic response be set to fast, balanced or smooth.

Programming and diagnostics

REB and RES valves connect over Bluetooth or USB to the free Atos CONNECT app and the E-SW-SETUP PC software. These tools set valve parameters, show an internal oscilloscope view and read diagnostics such as solenoid short circuit, cable break, over and under temperature, supply level and pressure transducer failure. The Smart Tuning function switches the response between dynamic, balanced and smooth, so a stiff press circuit and a slow filling circuit can use the same valve type.

Atos notes that response time depends on the stiffness of the hydraulic circuit: a stiffer circuit responds faster. The order code AGMZO-RES-P-BC-10/315 reads as valve type, driver, transducer, fieldbus, size and pressure range.

What to confirm before ordering

Define the driver (R, REB or RES), the fieldbus, the size from the flow you must pass at relief, the pressure range, the pilot and drain options and the seal material. If you order the R valve, order the matching off-board driver too. A conventional piloted relief valve from the same maker is the AGAM, and other items are in hydraulic valves and components.

About brand

Atos is an Italian manufacturer of electrohydraulic components, founded in 1957 and headquartered in Sesto Calende. Its catalogue spans on-off and proportional valves, digital electronics, cylinders and pumps for industrial hydraulics, from compact size 06 solenoid valves to large piloted proportional valves.

Atos valves and electronics

The range includes directional, pressure, flow and check valves, modular valves, ISO cartridges and proportional valves with on-board digital drivers, IO-Link and fieldbus interfaces, Bluetooth set-up and closed-loop control. Each valve family is documented in a numbered technical table, with the model code, hydraulic data, electrical data, dimensions and the options that can be added, such as low-temperature seals, manual overrides or lockable adjustment knobs.

Supply from Seven Star LLC

Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, sources Atos hydraulic valves against the manufacturer order code and technical table, and provides the datasheet with each quotation. Send the full model code, the coil voltage or interface, and the seal material.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the AGMZO do?
It limits system pressure to a value set by an electrical reference signal, with an on-board pressure transducer closing the control loop, so relief pressure can be changed by the machine controller.
What is the difference between R, REB and RES?
R needs an off-board driver. REB has a basic on-board driver with analog or IO-Link signals. RES has a full on-board driver that also supports fieldbus interfaces.
Which fieldbus options are offered?
IO-Link on REB, and CANopen, PROFIBUS DP and EtherCAT on RES. REB and RES always include a Bluetooth and USB service connection.
What flow and pressure does it handle?
Sizes 10, 20 and 32 pass up to 200, 400 and 600 l/min, with a regulated pressure of up to 350 bar and 210 bar allowed at the T port.
How are settings changed?
With the free Atos CONNECT app over Bluetooth or the E-SW-SETUP PC software over USB, which also give diagnostics.
