Atos AGAM Piloted Pressure Relief Valve, ISO 6264

Description

A two-stage relief valve for larger flows

The Atos AGAM is a two-stage pressure relief valve with a balanced poppet, built for subplate mounting to ISO 6264. The pilot stage sets the pressure of the main poppet through a grub screw under a plastic cap, or through an optional handwheel. Because the main stage is piloted, the AGAM holds a flat pressure-flow curve at flows where a direct relief valve would climb, which is why it is used on pump delivery lines, accumulator circuits and manifold blocks.

Mounting a small solenoid valve on top turns it into a venting or multi-pressure valve. Atos lists a DHE pilot (high-performance, cURus coils) and a DHL pilot (compact), and the configuration code selects one, two or three setting pressures, with venting at de-energized or energized solenoid.

Choosing size and pilot options

Select the size from the maximum flow you must pass at relief, not from the pump nominal flow alone: size 10 for up to 200 l/min, size 20 for up to 400 l/min and size 32 for up to 600 l/min. The order code, for example AGAM-20/32/210/100/100/E-EX24DC, reads as valve type, size, configuration, three pressure ranges, options, pilot valve, connector and voltage.

Venting is the usual reason for the solenoid. A configuration 10 valve vents the pump to tank when the solenoid is de-energized, which unloads the pump at start-up or standby; configuration 11 does it with the solenoid energized. Two and three pressure versions let one valve act as a low-pressure and a high-pressure limiter for different machine phases.

What to confirm before ordering

Check the pilot supply, the drain connection (internal or external) and whether the system needs the lower 210 bar limit on T and Y. Confirm the coil voltage and the seal material for the fluid. A smaller, direct-acting alternative is the Atos ARE listed in the hydraulic valves and components category, and a similar pilot-operated type from another maker is the Bosch Rexroth DBW.

About brand

Atos is an Italian manufacturer of electrohydraulic components, founded in 1957 and headquartered in Sesto Calende. Its catalogue spans on-off and proportional valves, digital electronics, cylinders and pumps for industrial hydraulics, from compact size 06 solenoid valves to large piloted proportional valves.

Atos valves and electronics

The range includes directional, pressure, flow and check valves, modular valves, ISO cartridges and proportional valves with on-board digital drivers, IO-Link and fieldbus interfaces, Bluetooth set-up and closed-loop control. Each valve family is documented in a numbered technical table, with the model code, hydraulic data, electrical data, dimensions and the options that can be added, such as low-temperature seals, manual overrides or lockable adjustment knobs.

Supply from Seven Star LLC

Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, sources Atos hydraulic valves against the manufacturer order code and technical table, and provides the datasheet with each quotation. Send the full model code, the coil voltage or interface, and the seal material.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the AGAM used for?
It limits pressure in the delivery line of a pump or a hydraulic circuit. With a solenoid pilot it also vents the pump to tank or switches between two or three pressure settings.
Which AGAM sizes are available?
Sizes 10, 20 and 32 to ISO 6264, with maximum flows of 200, 400 and 600 l/min.
What is the maximum working pressure?
Atos gives 350 bar on ports P and X. Ports T and Y are limited to 210 bar when no pilot solenoid valve is fitted; for pilot versions follow the DHE or DHL tables.
What is the difference between configuration 10 and 11?
Both give one setting pressure with venting. Configuration 10 vents when the solenoid is de-energized; configuration 11 vents when it is energized.
Can the valve use an external pilot?
Yes, option E provides an external pilot supply, and option Y gives an external drain on the G1/4 pipe connection.
