Overview

The FPA 4100™ UV Digital Photometer family enables measurement of the concentration of a wide variety of analytes in both liquid and gas streams. The photonics module can accommodate either UV or visible light sources and features a temperature-controlled photodiode block for maximum signal stability, with the light source and detectors coupled to a measurement cell via fiber optic cables.

Measurement Principle

The FPA 4100™ achieves ±2% of full scale accuracy, repeatability, and linearity, with 1% sensitivity and a response time of 30 seconds (T-90). Zero drift is compensated through daily auto-zero, keeping the instrument stable over extended unattended operation periods without requiring reagents or compressed gases for continuous measurement.

Because the light source and detector electronics are isolated from the process and coupled via fiber optic cables to the measurement cell, the FPA 4100™ achieves optimum safety and stability even when analyzing corrosive or hazardous process streams.
